Value for the price, a solid 4*. Ocean Point is a small resort, but we understood that going in, and had a wonderful time! Food? Awesome considering the resort size. If you went hungry, you are too fussy. Beach? Small but cleaned daily and lots of shade. Pool? Cool and refreshing, but could use a few more umbrellas for shade. Nice to have peace and quiet poolside, instead of the usual loud music and animation. Rooms? Small but very clean. There were some temperature issues with the shower but if you’re patient and in no hurry there was no issue. We’d like to thank Laura, Debbie and Sonia for their care in the buffet. Thanks to Vincent and Carleton for getting things done. Thanks also to Aleem, Valerio (whose smile lights the room when you see it) and Kaliah for never letting our cups run dry. A tip of the hat to Giusy for keeping on top of everything and a taste of lemincello. Would we return? Definitely! Thanks from Don and Roberta from New Brunswick

Rooms are slightly tired but perfectly acceptable. Food was brilliant. Lovely open air restaurant by the sea. Pools were always clean, no smells by the beach as others have said. Did a couple of trips, Nelsinho dockyard and devils bridge. Nice dinner out. Would recommend

Just got back it’s everything it says on the tin 3 star very clean rooms but are dated the reception and pool area lovely and plenty of seating not many umbrellas but that could be it’s quite windy and get blown over the beaches are small but clean and plenty of sun beds if you want quiet and to chill this is the place.Food is lovely and as said before plenty of Italian but there are other choices the salads are great . The bar was very efficient but I found the drink poor and branded expensive did buy some wine not the cheapest and they charge 15% on top . Found most of the staff friendly especially in the restaurant and reception and very hard working some just need to smile a bit more . There’s plenty of trips if you like to sightseeing but it’s fabulous for doing nothing and no queues like big resorts definitely recommend thanks for a great holiday ??

We celebrated our parents special Anniversary in wonderful Antigua, hotel small and friendly, food we thought was excellent for a small hotel, wonderful balcony view, great pool area, two wonderful clean private beaches, bar area and restaurant all centred round beach and waterfront area, drinks good, views great from balcony and very pretty flowers centred around balcony’s, Mum & Dad received champagne which was a lovely touch, we arranged flowers for them which hotel arranged for us, hotel is rustic but very pleasant, we have been to Sandles but we all loved this small hotel, room basic but very very clean, bathroom could do with a little update but still adequate. We will definitely be back to this hotel and this wonderful Island, a must is go visit the wonderful beaches on the Caribbean side, fryers Bay, Darkwood all beaches are beautiful, sunset shuttle to Runaway Bay very good to see the sunset and a few rum punches provided by the hotel. Thank you Ocean point for our lovely hotel and will be back hopefully soon. The Wright Family

    Vacation was ok.

Its time again for another review. We went to this resort in Feb. So in bullet form here goes. Reception: the reception was great. Drinks were given on arrival and signing in was fast. One party in our group of 4 wanted a beer and the drink person ran down to the bar to get a beer for him...great service. Room: The room we were given was not what we had paid for.(got ocean view and not ocean front) We went to reception to request a look at the oceanfront rooms and upon review we found that the room we had was sufficient enough for our liking and didn't want to spend the time to repack, plus the rooms were exactly the same size. It was all good. The beds were comfortable and the cleaned very well. Our cleaning lady was fun and friendly with us all the time we see her. We had water (2) in the fridge. We did get refills of bottles almost every day. Good tips may have helped in that. Grounds: the grounds were really nice with flowers growing up the walls and cacti around the pool which were flowering at the time. Some of the plants around the pool could have been cleaned up a bit as some leaves were browning, but that's minor. Beach: The beach was small in comparison to other resorts we've been to but adequate since its a small resort. There was no bar service on the beach so you had to run to the bar every time you got low on drinks. The water was too murky to snorkel in so that was a negative for me as I like to snorkel. Staff: Most of the staff was very accommodating, but sometimes finding a smile was far and few between. The front desk staff was excellent as well as the manager. The bar staff were ok but a smile can go a long way with us. The restaurant staff was fun and always had a smile for all the guests it was great. Bar: The bar was ok but sometimes hard to find a seat in the area when the resort is at capacity. Your all inclusive only pertains to certain drinks on their list of drinks. For instant, if you wanted to have one of the countries local drinks (beer) you have to pay for it. The only beer you get for free is piton beer on tap. This is not what I would expect from any resort. You should be promoting local brands in the all inclusive. The entertainment was mostly in the bar area 2 nights a week. Musicians came in on Thursdays and Sundays. It was loud, but good. Red and White Wine was always available all through day and night. Restaurant: The restaurant was clean and staff attentive with a smile. The food was great, but then that's to be expected from Italian chefs. The only thing you come home with is more body weight.(LOL) This department is run very efficiently, great job. Trips: We did two trips..1 to St John's for a day of shopping and lunch out at a place called CHEERS. This was a great little bar and grill. We also thought the bar tender there looked familiar and sure enough it was the same bar tender at our resort..lol..we chatted a little bit with him and found out when we payed the bill that he gave us a discount on our meal and drinks. Now that is service Aleem (?) The other trip was a power boat catamaran around the island. This was ok too but mostly sitting watching the land going by. We did stop on a small island off shore to snorkel but it wasn't worth the time in my opinion as there wasn't many different fish to see. It was windy at the reef so we didn't spend much time out in the water. The lunch we had onboard was excellent well worth it. The beach was ok on that island but had to lay on the sand. Over all: This was our first time in Antigua and we did enjoy ourselves as we had met many other guests from all over the world. So would we go back. Maybe but not for some time as we have many other options to choose from.
