    Had a wonderful time at resort. Excellent customer service. Smaller hotel, but felt right at home. Wonderful staff at Hakka Restaurant. Thank you Crispin, Marcelino, Alejandro, and Euelin. Food was incredible.

    We booked the club room- and don’t get me wrong room itself and the view are spotless - the only reason we arrived is because of the view. One more positive thing is Haka restaurant which worth visiting. All other amenities and services are patchy but adequate to the price paid. Do not expect miracles for the price you are paying. Breakfast buffet poor choices, reception service just reaching average, beach sunbeds are really bad. Why not to invest a bit to make them comfy? Pool area - we stayed a week but didn’t have a chance to enjoy as building works were happening around. Gym - all windows are scattered so you can’t see through - so we didn’t used it. We expressed our concerns to Julia and we received attention we was looking for.

    Overall Oleo is a great resort. It’s a smaller setting with a nice personal touch. The place needs a facelift but they are working towards improving it. The rooms are clean and the ocean views are spectacular! The sushi, Mediterranean and Japanese restaurants are EXCELLENT, skip the wine though - red or white - it’s terrible. The buffet is great for breakfast and the 24/7 room service is a nice touch. Mai at the omelette bar does a fantastic job and is very efficient despite the improper buffet line flow. Whether at the pool or on the beach, Rey is a fantastic server, he’s very friendly, attentive and helpful. Gerry makes a tasty margarita and Johnathan is very attentive as well! Take advantage of the spa facilities (steam room, sauna, hot tubs), there is a charge but it’s worth it! I would recommend and return to this resort!

    I booked this place at the last minute. We had planned to stay in Playa del Carmen, but our resort emailed us about 4 weeks out and said they were still closed due to Covid. I read some reviews and decided to give Cancun a chance. We felt safe here the entire week. We loved the resort. It is small and intimate. There are only 8 rooms per floor. Overcrowding is not a concern. The restaurants are small, but not once did we have to wait for a seat. The food has been excellent. For those who said the food was bland....I’m not sure if they noticed the seasonings section at the buffet. The meals inside each sit down restaurant were perfectly seasoned. Miguel at the indoor bar was amazing and hospitable. Rodriguez, our poolside waiter was attentive and prompt. Check in staff was pleasant and friendly providing us with a welcome drink immediately upon arrival. The rooms are amazing. We had a wrap around balcony with a view of the sunrise and sunset every day. I can honestly say we will be back!!!

    Overall, my gf and I had a great time at the resort. The service was great, especially my guy Raul!! I wasn't a huge fan of the entertainment (who books Opera singers for the bar?) but we had a blast. I was also very appreciatve of the fact that the hotel had an on-site lab for COVID testing and took on that cost.
