    Such a disappointing experience!

    We were very excited to experience the renovations at the Harbor Beach property, and it did not disappoint. We were there to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. The rooms are nice, clean, updated, wonderful bedding. The BIG DISAPPOINTMENT was the service. I do not mind spending the money for wonderful valet service, a resort fee that provides for the guest, and the extra amenities one expects at a resort property like this. HOWEVER - (1)There is a problem with their "At Your Service" process - I called over 14 times during our 4 night stay, and had to simply hang up after 15 rings - almost always went to answering machine. (2)VALET PARKING was a bit of a joke - no bellman, no help nor offer to help with luggage. Car was never there on time - most of the time, due to lack of phone service, I had to make a trip to the lobby to request my car in person (3)RESORT FEE and disclaimers were less than appropriate. Our first day at the pool,expecting a relaxing quiet morning was met with 4 chainsaws, half the pool roped off, maintenance being done on scaffolding with pounding for hours! We went to the beach the next morning to escape the noise, but after a wait of about 15 minutes, we never received any help with a beach chair or umbrella - so we gave up and returned to the pool. Poolside service is pretty non-existent as well. There are flags on the lounge chairs,but they are never noticed. No pool service personnel to help with umbrellas or set up your chair - only a towel-distributor. (4)I called ahead, and told them of our 50th anniversary celebration - and if there was anything they could do to make it special - but there was no acknowledgement by anyone - not even a fruit plate, or a card, nor congratulations - nothing . . . as Titanium we were told there was a suite coming open for us, but they never called, and we stayed where we were. On a brighter point, the Rive Breakfast restaurant buffet was very good, and the waitstaff was great. But, to spend huge bucks at a great resort, and receive the treatment we received was not only disappointing, but was not worth the value. I'm a Marriott person through and through, but if corporate ever asked, I would have to tell them that this property's service is way below expectations and needs serious attention. I would not let any of my employees get away with not answering the phone in person - but evidently, this property works from messages only. Won't pay big bucks at this property again - including the nearly $100 per day resort fee and valet parking charges, when bellmen are not helpful, and we are treated as if we don't really matter. Why not go to a place where you are appreciated, welcomed and pampered even a little bit, and that might even say a word of congratulations for a special occasion!

    Edgarto is an amazing Massage therapist! The best I have ever had and this my sixth massage in 2 months. We do an annual girls trip and this is definitely a place we would return. We are also going to schedule a service with Edgarto again. The entire staff at the spa is professional and very attentive.

    This hotel is well take care of and the staff was amazing to work with during my stay. I love the view. The pool is big and gorgeous. This hotel has a great beach and the sunsets are beautiful. The fitness center has plenty of equipment for a full body workout, cardio and even offer classes with a small upgrade charge. I enjoy staying at this hotel, pretty conveniently located as well.

    Very nice room which we used as a day room as the ship arrived at 7am and flight to London at 6pm. Very comfortable room with a great bed. The room has a great desk for working on ! Very clean shower room with big shower. Small balcony with table and chairs. The beach and leisure facilities are excellent. The hotel is right on the beach and no road to cross . Starbucks coffee shop off main lobby. Nice bar and restaurant with good choice. Bruch / Breakfast = yummy ?? Good hotel for the airport and cruise terminal. Highly recommended ??

    There were many good things and several not so good things. First off, property is clean and food is good. Pricing is about what you would expect at a resort. We checked in very late due to flight delays. I booked with points and when I arrived we were promptly checked in. . I am platinum elite and was not recognized at front desk for that. I asked for an upgrade to ocean front and was promptly told none available with 2 beds. Fine, went to the room(very basic put clean) and my phone was ringing. The gentleman that checked me said told me I had to call Marriott immediately has my certificate was not attached to my reservation. No mention of this when I checked in. It is now 2am, and I am calling Marriott and trying to figure out. Marriott Bonvoy rewards called the front desk back and took care of it but it took another 30 minutes of my time and we were exhausted from traveling and arriving so late. The gentleman at the front desk also told me that they would just charge me $269 a night if I did not want to make the call. My points were already deducted from my account. I was offered the choice of points or the free breakfast for 2. So the next morning went to breakfast and there was no record of the free breakfast for 2. The bartender at 3030 was friendly and acknowledged me as a platinum member. Did not get his name but he has worked for Marriott over 25 years and it shows. checkout and The beach staff very accommodating with chairs/umbrellas and working to keep beach clean.
