Quick impromptu trip with the girls to get away from the main Vegas strip. Beautiful location and suite with a gorgeous view. Amazing staff! Thanks Mikey and Kirsten from F&B for making our cabana experience amazing. Eric and Jimmy in guest services for going above and beyond from the moment we arrived until our departure.

We had a lake-facing King room. Spacious and comfy, all necessary amenities were present. The view was spectacular! However, the walls are paper thin. Siblings arguing in the next room. Couples copulating across the hall. Two doors down incessant dog-barking when the family was out of the room. Friday night we had dinner in the Arabesque Lounge. The Asian Salad was tasty, as was the Crabcake Sandwich. We had brought pastries from Freed's for breakfast, stored in the mini-fridge overnight. Saturday, we ordered room service. The Seafood Diavolo struck out, lacked flavor, had emphatic spice heat. The Peach Cobbler downright sucked. There was a scoop of vanilla ice cream to accompany it. Maybe it was there to soften the solid bread chunk. But no custard-like texture, just hard bread. We spent all day Saturday at the Lakeview Cabana ($500/day), 12 people can occupy. Had a blast with the grandkids who rode the slide, swam in the pool, and played on their devices. Madeleine was our bar server. She was attentive, perky and conversational. We tipped her REALLY well. Overall, it's a nice place. The food contributed to the lower score.

I will start by saying this is a beautiful hotel. It's a beautiful property. I think if it wasn't Covid things might have gone better. This is a big property and I know the upkeep is difficult. With that I think they are low on staff because it wasn't the Westin standard I'm used too. Please note that our party had 3 rooms. None of the rooms were spotless. There is a check list of things a room should have: clean floors, clean table tops, fresh towels, toiletries, and a bag for dry cleaning for laundry service. I mention these specific things because it's a very basic checklist. At least 1 to 2 things were lacking in each room. I could have have this a lesser rating but you can't deny the beautiful surroundings. I also want to comment on the crowd. This wasn't a family trip setting. The crowd was pretty rowdy. Someone even yacked in the pool. Maybe it would be better to visit again when things go back to normal. Please also note that the pool hours are limited. I believe one pool closes at 6 pm and the other 8 pm.

    Disappointing for a Westin/Marriott Property

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights while in town for a baby shower. Right away it was clear that masks were not being enforced, even though they had signage around stating masks were mandatory. This was annoying. If I’m miserable in a mask I expect everyone else to be too. The rooms are also a bit lackluster and dated. We had a lake view room with cobwebs all around the window, and the sink was clogged the first night we were here. Maid service also never came during the entire stay, even though we were often out of the room the whole day. In the times we were in the room they never knocked either, so we didn’t miss them. Another fun part was the drunk strangers knocking on our room door at 2am and waking us up, apparently thinking this was their room. The exterior of the property is very pretty but there were just too many issues during the stay to make it worth the price. As a Marriott rewards member I’ve seen a lot of Marriott properties and the quality of Westin Lake Las Vegas was sadly surprising.

Left something in my room. Called front desk multiple times, finally got an answer around the third call. I was transferred to Lost & Found and they said they’d quickly check and call me back. Never got a call back. Called the front desk every day for about a week but no one answered. Only thing I can think of is that a hotel employee took my personal item and they don’t want to answer my specific number anymore. In addition, the beds were rock solid.
