This was our second hotel on a three island tour taking almost three weeks. We arrived early but were greeted and pre-checked in with luggage stroage and suggestions of placves to see while we waited. With no rush we broused the local area right behind the hotel. many shops and services and restaurants very close by. it was a nice time to familiarize ourselves with the immediate area. This is a nicely laid out hotel with many amentities and options. A nice pool and bar area. lage well manicured lawns and gardens. Definitely kjept as an island paradise. itw was the beginning of the shoulder season and some renovations and upgrades were already underway. The room was large and romy with a good fridge, ,icrowave and coffeemaker as well as a small cook top. A large baclony gave us a view of the oceian. The hotel was quiet and well monitored by security at akll times of the day and night. We recieved two free movie rtentals and two free coffee voucheres for each day for a fantastic littl coffee shop immediatly outside the front gate. Everything was as we expected in this hotel. Very nice.

We paid for an open view and it was truly an ocean view. We had a 3rd floor room and each room has a balcony. No elevators however. We looked out at the pool and ocean. Pool was nice with a hot tub and a bar. Beach looked a bit rocky for swimming, but there are nice sandy public beaches minutes away. There is no restaurant but they give you coupons for free coffee and a coffee shop next to the property. There are quite a food options available adjacent to the hotel so you do not have to drive great distances for meals. Property seemed well maintained and staff was friendly. We liked this place.

After much research and deliberation of where to stay on our 1st trip to Hawaii. We decided to spend our 25th anniversary at the Aston Islander on the Beach. There is no doubt we made a great pick with this place. In our opinion a great location to get anywhere on the island within a short period of time. Shopping, grocery, restaurants a short walk away. But a car is recommended. From check in to check out. A very friendly & helpful staff. They were even able to accommodate a late checkout request for us when we decided to stick around (preferred not to leave at all) for a half day. We stayed in an oceanfront room, 1st floor. Walked right out from the lanai after having morning coffee to see the unbelievable sunrise. The property is in pristine condition with tropical flora all over. Room was clean and met all of our needs on the trip. Enjoyed the Tiki bar on several occasions by the pool. No doubt that when we return to Kauai this will be the only place we consider for our stay. Thanks to all at the Aston Islander for making this an unforgettable anniversary getaway.

My sister and I really enjoyed our stay at Aston Islander on the Beach. It's a modestly decorated hotel very conveniently located a short drive from the airport. We were able to drive anywhere on the island in less than an hour. Our room had a beautiful ocean view with a small balcony where we enjoyed morning Kauai coffee (provided in the room). There is a small, very clean pool and hot tub, and a pool bar with friendly bartenders and local patrons who are all happy to give you tips on seeing the island. The front desk staff always greeted you with a smile and asked about your day's adventures. The room was very comfortable with mini fridge, Keurig coffee maker, and microwave. There was even kitchenware to cook small meals in the microwave or at the pool's gas grills. The hotel is located very conveniently next to a small shopping center within walking distance but still felt very tucked away next to the ocean--not like a strip mall hotel. I plan to stay here again and would highly recommend the Aston!

We normally stay at the Grand Hyatt but we wanted to break up the stay and try something else in between Poipu and Hanalei. We read the reviews and selected an oceanfront room. We called after making the reservation and requested a room on the side away from the Lava Lava beach club so we wouldn’t be bothered with noise. We got a room, as requested, on the third floor. You are extremely close to the water so if you like hearing the surf this is right for you. The beach is right there but I wouldn’t consider it a nice swimming beach. The property is smaller which I liked. We didn’t like the older rooms, reminded us of the 60s. Clean but old. Considering what it cost compared to the hi-end resorts I felt it was worth the price. You are also closer to Hanalei. Next trip we’ll do the Islander again and another high end resort.
