The Cove Pool is the Gem of the Atlantis
Terese333 (New Jersey) on Mar 23, 2024
I don't even know where to begin. Just about everything at the pool is wonderful. You guys even got the water temperature right this time! It was finally warm enough to enjoy! Chair availability is a bit hit or miss, and sometimes we have to go into the bin for our own towels (that's a forgivable offense). But the staff at the Cove Pool, and especially Thereze, is really the jewel in the crown of the Atlantis. She is the hardest working person on the property. She is always on the go, and consistently anticipating her customers' wants and needs. After observing her interactions with other guests, it's easy to see that she seems to have the same rapport with all in her care. She makes everyone feel like old friends, and yet she is always professional, accurate, and efficient. This becomes even more evident when she is NOT there, as the place just doesn't seem the same without her on her days off. I can tell you, without reservation, that if it wasn't for Thereze, we'd be a lot more likely to explore other hotel options. We also thoroughly appreciate the service that Kayla provides. She's another very hard worker and she always makes us feel welcome! James was also determined to ensure we had a good day, as he helped us to find seats and an umbrella. Tamika, Nasir, Kashan, and Masi are lovely. Brandon was so patient with our umbrella placement. And Sammy is a very nice addition - we've gotten to interact with him on the floors, but are happy to see him at the pool as well. Every area was spotless, and we watched the servers work tirelessly to straighten up when not taking orders or serving. The Cove rooms are old and tired. If you're going to continue to try to compete with the shiny, new, contemporary Baha Mar, you're going to have to try harder and update your look. And the number of small children and babies has really affected the atmosphere in the Cove tower. I just hope the powers that be recognize and reward the exceptional staff members, especially those named above, for their superior service. They, and they alone are the thing that keeps us coming back to the Atlantis, time after time.
Top notch dining

My first visit to Atlantis was great! The overall resort is well worth the visit. The highlights were the beach (softest sand I've ever felt, beautiful blue water, fish to observe) and the food. I was there for the Food & Wine Festival; attended the nightly festival parties which were decent. Wyclef Jean was amazing! The dining options were better than expected. #1 Nobu #2 Cafe Martinique #3 Paranza #4 Fish #5 Perch Wonderful hotel grounds.

My fiancé, got up to go to the bathroom and slipped on water in the bathroom from a leaking pipe ended up with each stitches in her head.a concussion broken arm not once did the management or anybody from the resort follow up to see how she was
If you are a person of color, STAY AWAY. Not worth the headache or hassle.

Something is terribly wrong here now. I have visited this place at least 15-20 times and have never had a horrible experience like this I go often, my last trip before this was November 2023 and I can’t believe much has changed in a short time. First, I must say the Cove is still one of the most beautiful places to sleep and stay in. However, it’s getting dated, it’s time for an upgrade for the price you pay. Next, this is the first time I have experienced unfriendly and rude staff. I have heard other guests say staff have an issue with people of color, but I have never experienced it until now. Negative experiences at three different restaurants and at the adult only pool, yet you can almost see how other ethnicities are treated with a certain care. Black people, being mean to other black people is not a new thing, but if I am paying for good service then I want good service. Fine dining is not fine dining anymore. Food was basic but came with a $150-$200 price tag. Had much better food experiences off property and at other properties. I now know it’s time to explore other options on the Island, the Rui, Bahamar something else. Atlantis is no longer our home away from home.
Bahamas Vacation

This was a return trip and vacation for us. We enjoyed Fish and Pranza restaurants this trip especially. The service at the Cove was also wonderful. The staff was outstanding and always around for drinks and food. We played in the casino as well and it was quite busy this time of year. The beds in the Cove Tower and very comfortable and we had a higher floor with a great view. I would highly reccomend the Cove and we will be back again, We did go the the second bridge for lunch (under the Bridge as the locals say and ate at Doc Sands. The owner and Dee are very friendly and the food and Kalik beer was good and cold
