My boyfriend and I did a little 3 day trip to NYC to check out everything CHRISTMAS. This is our second time visiting, we visited once in the spring. This time we decided to stay in Times Square for easier access to all things we wanted to see. This was a perfect location! SO fancy and great price. The hotel lobby bar was a great place to grab an (overpriced) drink.....but hey its vacation. Would stay again.

I always use this hotel in New York as the location is so convenient but like me it’s really beginning to show it’s age! . The staff are always friendly but this place is definitely in need of some TLC and could really do with some redecorating / maintenance. Simple things like the varnish worn away on the edges of handrails just makes it look so tired. Thank goodness for service lifts as all the customer lifts were out meaning we had to wait around 20 minutes to go up in a service lift as walking up 45 floors with a suitcase was not an option! The club lounge doesn’t feel exclusive at all and watching the bun fight as soon as the free food comes out at 5.30pm is embarrassing! Love the location but sadly need to think about a different hotel next time as I left this time feeling a little saddened by the whole experience.

    Great location. Pricey food

Fabulous location right at Times Square and near shopping. Most of the time, you can walk to the shopping areas. The hotel was clean, rooms a little small, but worth it. We were able to get late checkout. Eating at the hotel is very expensive, though. I paid 100$ for 2 glasses of wine, two soups and one order of sliders. Insane!!

    Disappointed

I spent the weekend here with my husband, waste of money. Bathroom looked dirty even inside the toilet, guest services is horrible and the women on the phone gave me an attitude after I told her the comforter was filthy, no apologies whatsoever, I waited 45 minutes for a new blanket when I was already falling asleep. Will never stay here again. The comforter had brown moldy spots all over it

Had a great stay in 2017 but my stay in 2019 will probably be my last!

I stayed at this hotel back in 2017 on a trip to NYC and, as per my last review of the place, had a great stay there. I've stayed in a few other hotels in the area since then, but this was a one night stopover on our way back from Bahamas to London and I thought as this hotel was very central it would be a good option. We knew there was likely to be disruption due to the ball drop as we were flying on New Years Eve, but the way the whole thing was managed there was an absolute joke. We arrived at the hotel at around 6:30pm on the 30/12, after a fairly hefty queue to check in we were told that one our rooms wasn't ready- despite that fact that it was 2 and half hours after check in time. Not the best start. We then asked the lady what our best option was to get to the airport tomorrow with all the road closures. Her first response was a very blunt and rude 'You're checking out tomorrow? You won't be able to get out of here to the airport at all.' Not exactly helpful! We decided to go and get some dinner while waiting for the other room to be ready and on the way out asked concierge about booking a car to the airport. Concierge were pretty clueless about the shut down zones so we ended up booking the car and then liaising with the driver directly about a suitable place to meet him. We knew they'd be disruption getting out but we didn't expect to be treated so rudely by the hotel employees, there were several other people including multiple airline employees from various airlines leaving the hotel on New Years Eve, I would have thought the staff would have had more information instead of just treating us like idiots for booking to leave on that day. The saving grace for us was the NYPD officers that were in the hotel, they were far more useful and polite than any of the staff and let us know that if we walked a short 2 blocks across we would be able to be picked up there- simple. When we did get into the rooms they were fine and the same standard as they were previously, no complaints there. For us it was the staff and lack of organisation that ruined the stay.
