It gets one star for being a large, overall lovely resort, and a 2nd for very pleasant staff with quick response time to reported problems. But good heavens, I’ve never had so many gross problems in one stay in my life. We are here now, in East Viilage,we’ve slept 3 of 14 nights. We would leave if we had somewhere to go. Night one: master toilet wouldn’t flush on first try, late at night. Plumber had to come fix a problem in the upper tank. Next morning, my teen son woke smelling of old urine that wasn’t his. Pulled back sheets ... mattress was urine-soaked. 2nd morning, tried to use toaster and it doesn’t work, won’t stay down or thus turn on. Cut my hand on weird sticker-paint peeling off the cupboard. This evening: went to do first load of laundry and the washer has long hair clump hanging out the front, and the rubber casing all around the drum is absolutely caked in slimy laundry goo, like paper, lint, trash, hair, etc. I cannot fathom how many years of non-cleaning it would ever take my home machine to be this gross, I dont even know where to begin. Last night we went to use the hot tub near our building, and there was a raucous group who had clearly been there hours, with multiple full size liquor bottles, beer bottles, a cooler, a speaker blaring music, and lots of weed. To each their own, I love a good party too - but not a plugging up a small family resort hot tub for hours with prohibited items. Clearly there is zero security/oversight there. When the timeshare guy called to ask if I’d like to attend a buying seminar, I laughed so hard I snorted. When I explained the above list, he just kept apologizing and then hung up. I guess at least I know they won’t call again. I dont know if the whole resort is this awful, or they just put me in an old abandoned building and other parts are better maintained, or what, but this is the worst exchange I’ve ever had in 20 years of timeshare ownership.

Orange Lake had a check in system that was started on line and when it was your turn you were called into the check in area to reduce exposure to people. Our accommodations were spacious including a large master suite with jetted tub, two full size beds in the other bedroom, seating for 7-8 in the living area, and a large dining table. We were meeting extended family so I called ahead and was able to arrange our two units next to each other. We cooked several meals in our unit and were easily able to seat 8 around our table. We also played several games and had plenty of room for all of us to be comfortable. The resort had multiple pools, jacuzzies, 4 mini golf courses, 2- par 3 course, 2 full golf courses, climbing wall, multiple restaurants, shops and a shuttle to get you around the resort.

Hotel & Intro I stayed at the Holiday Inn Club Vacation at Orange Lake Resort in (Orlando) Kissimmee, Florida for leisure trip with my family from December 31, 2020 to January 7, 2021 (7 nights). I travel often and rely on reviews to help me choose a hotel as well as enhance my stay. Overall Resort & Pools This resort is massive with 4 villages on 1,450 acres with multiple pools, hot tubs, lazy river, golf course, and restaurants. Due to the size, you can drive your car around to the different areas or they offer a shuttle service that runs about every 20 minutes or so. I did both. My building was located in the East Village and I was able to walk to the River Island Village (18-minute walk). I would highly recommend this building as it has a pool very close with a hot tub. River Island has the lazy river, mini golf and Restaurants. All the pools and lazy river are heated. After walking around the complex, I noticed not every building has a pool so you may need to drive to your nearest pool but you can go to any pool in the resort. Negative about the Lazy River is the that you have to rent their tube for $9 a day, per person and you are not permitted to bring your own tube to use. However, you are permitted in the lazy river without a tube. Odd that they require the use of only their tubes at a $, when using your own tube during this pandemic seems safer to me. Overall, the resort was very clean and in compliance with face masks and social distancing. We always brought our own alcohol spray to clean the pool chairs and anything else. Room, Shower, Bed, Balcony We stayed in a two (2) bedroom villa in the East Village on the 6th floor overlooking the 18th hole of the golf course and lots of trees. This room was handicap assessable. The room had every amenity we needed such as a large Kitchen with appliances, dishes, serving/cooking ware, and they provided all the supplies such as dish soap, dishwasher tabs, sponge, etc. The dinning room table was huge with seating for 8. It had 2 sofas and one was a sleeper. They were both firm and comfortable. The living area had a small TV. The best part was the door that led to the screened in balcony that overlooked the golf course and a small lake. It contained a table and 4 chairs to take advantage of coffee in the morning and eating outside. Also, a nice place to relax at the end of the day with a cool beverage. The bedrooms were large and the main bedroom had a very large on-suite bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and shower. The water pressure was adequate. The sink had plenty of counterspace for toiletries. The first bedroom had a king size bed was very comfortable but the pillows were a little too soft. It had a sitting chair and a desk if you needed to work. The second bedroom had 2 smaller beds and they were also comfortable. Each bedroom had its own TV. If you are like most travels and utilize food service delivery, pick it up at the Reception / Check-in area as the resort is so big, the uber eats drivers could not find the village to leave at the door. This was a huge inconvenience for us as if your Uber Eats order is canceled, you do not get a refund.

IHG Latitudes Package Expired - They did not extend

I am so disappointed by the attitude and responses by the customer service team when I called to plan my trip for a Latitude package that I purchased and paid $1000 in full. At the time of purchase I was told that the package would be automatically extended and never expire. They are extremely friendly while selling and not helpful once they get your money. They said it already extended and expired and can't be reinstated. I explained myself that I was not aware that this package would expire and and paid it all in full. They said it already extended twice and can't do anything further. The year it extended was 2020 which was destroyed by Covid -19. I could not travel even if I wanted to. I asked if they could extend given the circumstances and they said there is nothing they can do. And finally, I asked if they could refund as I was not aware and there was no communication to me that this would be expiring. There was not an attempt to reach out to me at all. It is like they just silently wait hoping I don't call and it expires. Nothing on my side was intentional. They chose not to help and hung up the phone. I have been always worked with Holiday Inn and recommended to all my friends. I have been literally an ambassador for Holiday inn. I regret that now. All of my request were turned down. It is such a disappointment for me. Anyone who is even thinking about purchasing a Latitude package, think again. They aren't going to help you when you need it. All you hear is NO. They wasted my $1000.

Beautiful property, quiet and peaceful units, welcoming employees who cared about my vacation and comfort

Pros Quiet, spacious West Village villa end unit with no one on top/bottom and one shared wall. Felt wonderful! 4312 Beautiful large property with well manicured landscaping, walking paths, lakes, trees, flowers and large birds and squirrels created beautiful nature walks. The sunsets are gorgeous over the lake where one can rent sea do's, paddle boats, pontoon or power boat. The water reflects the orange sky on the lakes and I pondered if this is why the resort is called orange lakes? What do you think? The employees made me feel at home with their kindness, value and commitment to me having a wonderful vacation from my accommodations to how well I was treated with respect, care, kindness and cheerful countenances. Wow, so happy.
