We were not guests at the Chateau. We simply visited to enjoy the beautiful building up close. It is WOW. There are many details to take in, both inside and outside. Worth 30 minutes of your time for sure!

    this is must stay

this is one of the most grand hotels i have ever stayed . there is enough history to keep you busy for days just in the hotel and a lot more out side . the rooms are very nice plus shops and very nice restaurants .

Super nice building and terrific location, but not a special hotel

We booked a king size room, but to not let us wait for the official check-in time, we were assigned in a recently refurnished room, which was fresh and pleasant. There were no light curtains you could close; or you had to close the heavier curtains, or keep everything open. The breakfast was ok, but basic food items like plain muesli, were not available (only the sugary type with chunks of "chocolate"). Wifi is only available against payment. And is of a terrible quality. The bar is fun and the mixologists really know what they are doing. Overall I would say that the beauty of the building does not live up to the service provided, as an hotel it is not all that special.

We got a larger room to accommodate everyone and enjoyed a nice view of the surrounding buildings. Everything about the hotel was great. You could really feel the historic charm of the hotel. Our daughter was thrilled with the treasure hunt and even faked being sick so she could continue looking for clues. The breakfast was pricey but amazing. The location is great for walking around the old part of Quebec City and there are a number of shops and restaurants in an easy walking distance. The hotel is on top of a hill so keep that in mind if you decide to walk from the trains like we did.

We booked a gold room stay for two days to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary. While not cheap, it was a wonderful experience and I'd highly recommend it for a special occasion. The hotel is wonderfully romantic and the gold room stay included a city view, sumptuous breakfast buffet and and first rate hors d'oeurves that could well serve as dinner. We ate lunch at Sams Bistro onsite on a rainy Wednesday and highly recommend the five cheese platter to share. Staff were all great!
