Beyond any reality, the best upgrade of all upgrades!

This place is beyond expectations! We books platinum and were upgrade to villa upon arrivals the room was spacious and well appointed. The private pool area was special, the platinum beach area we were dotted on. On day three we were moved because the hotel oversold. They placed us in the penthouse suite! This was the best 50th bday celebration anyone could ask for! The balcony with hottub, lounge chairs and table for 6 plus a quiet seating area for two. The room had the best soaker tub, two bathrooms with showers and a bed that was the most comfortable and luxurious sheets. The fridges and bar were regularly stocked and room service was outstanding. We were treated like royalty. This trip will be hard to beat. The food was delicious and all aspects were considered. I can’t wait to return!

Ivan and Susana at the lobby bar make the best cocktails. Ivan kept us laughing and made it such an enjoyable evening. He is the absolute best ?? This is our second visit to this resort and we highly recommend. The accommodations are clean and well maintained.
Horrible Experience - Worst Customer Service at resort

My husband and I chose to stay at this resort for our Honeymoon. After 4 years with no traveling, we were so excited to go back to Mexico for our 7th time. We had been to this resort once before on the Sunset Princess side and had nothing but the best experiences so was expecting the same this time but shockingly, it was the worst trip we have ever faced. We were told to bring our marriage certificate upon arrival to present it to reception for added perks. We were then told that in order to get anything, we would have had to book 1 month after our wedding date. The only thing they would do was provide champagne in the room. When we arrived to our room, the place was not cleaned properly - the tub had hair in it, the curtains would not close, the pillow cases stunk like urine and there was sand all over. We were disappointed that there was no effort to try to make us feel special for our Honeymoon (no banner, note, fruit tray, rose petals, etc.) Our travel agent had advised them prior to our arrival and thought something small would have been done. We placed a complaint about the room to reception for the lack of cleanliness and was advised nothing could be done until the following day. They did manage to give us a new room the next day but the curtains in that room didn't close either. We were also locked out of our room everyday because the swipe cards wouldn't work. Every time we let reception know, they had no expression on their faces, no apologies or seemed to care at all. We felt like we were bothering them. There were no adult bands or entertainment in the evenings - everything was more geared towards families and children. On our last day at the resort prior to check out, our bellman had come to our room to pick up our luggage and at that time we had asked if he could take us up to the main lobby in his cart but unfortunately it was too small and he told us to use the trolly. This trolly runs back and forth from the hotel rooms to the main lobby and we used it quite a few times during our stay with no issues. We proceeded to try to stop the trolly to take us to the lobby with our small carry on suitcases and was told by the driver that we couldn't come on and to use the bell boy. We were in shock because all week families would get on with their strollers, pool floats and toys and we weren't allowed on with our small suitcases on an empty trolly? My husband and I proceeded to walk the long path back to reception with no help. We were given a "complimentary" dinner at one of the finer restaurants by the beach the last night of our stay. We were surprised the following day on check-out that there was a charge for this! We fought back and refused to pay. The lady at reception just gave us a look and presented us with the check-out slip without saying a word. We felt defeated and very unwanted there. We will NEVER return to this resort again and hope people considering this place read all the current reviews and take great consideration before they book anything.
A great stay at Grand Riviera Princess

I've just come back from a wonderful stay at Grand Riviera Princess. My room was so spacious and I had a fantastic view of the swimming pools, which was just great from my first floor balcony, such a lovely place to chill. I really enjoyed the beautifully manicured gardens and abundant wildlife, those Coatis are so fun to watch ! I enjoyed a great Pina Colada from the beach bar and watched the pelicans diving into the sea. The swimming pools were simply wonderful and I enjoyed the numerous restaurants too. Can't wait to come back.

I had a wonderful time at this resort. The food was okay and tons of attractions. There was access to the beach, great recreation and tons of great music. Our rooms was a bit far but not much we could do about it and drinks were a bit watered down. Service was great.
