We recently traveled to Coconut Bay with a small group of friends/family to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. We were a little timid to travel, due to the pandemic, however, St Lucia has several safety measures in place, and we felt very comfortable. This resort is relaxing and spacious with a lot of different activities that you can enjoy. While we were there we visited the gym, played tennis, played ping pong, utilized the kidz klub (more on that later), visited the spa, enjoyed the beach, spent lots of time in the pool on both the splash and harmony sides, and went down the water slides more times than I can count! My biggest regret of this trip is not trying the fitness classes earlier- I waited until halfway through to make it to one of Vernon's classes, and wish I could go back and start with him on day 1! He is an amazing instructor with such a passion for life. DO NOT MISS his morning yoga sessions in the gazebo on the water. There is no better way to start your day!! I have never had an instructor at a resort care so much about what they were teaching. His pilates classes and sculpting class were also fantastic! I cannot say enough about the overall cleanliness of the resort, they were working constantly to keep everything cleaned and sanitized. Tracy was our room attendant, and every day our room sparkled! She also kept our fridge stocked with bottles of water, left fun towel animals, fresh flowers and handwritten notes. Those little things go a long way!! The restaurants that were typically set up as buffets all had employees dishing out the food, honestly, this is something I hope they keep post covid! The grill beside the pool (Flip Flops) has amazing pizzas and snacks, and my husband could not get enough of the chicken at the Jerk Tree House. The gentleman that works there has an infectious smile and amazing customer service!! Although not every restaurant was open every night, due to the low occupancy at the resort right now, we absolutly got to try every restaurant (some more than once) and had no trouble getting a table to accommodate our group of 8. Restaurants were also super willing to get my son chicken nuggets, even when they weren't on the menu. Our favorite sit down restaurant was Calabash. We really enjoyed the swim up bar in the main pool because it was easy to relax and keep an eye on the kids. We also absolutely loved the paradise beach bar. Antoine at the swim up bar was amazing, he treated the kids and the adults all to excellent service with a smile. He even personally delivered a lunch order to us at the beach bar one day when he was stopping by to help restock- truly above and beyond!! At the paradise beach bar, you absolutely must sit down and visit with Vernessa!!! She was amazing, she joked with my son and continued to say hi to him, by name, everywhere she saw us throughout the whole trip. She even got to know our groups signature drinks, and she would have them waiting on us by the time we finished our walk to the beach bar. The beach near the bar has a bean bag toss game, and plenty of chairs and tiki huts for shade. My absolute favorite however were the hammocks out over the water...so relaxing!!!! Kidz Klub- we utilized this a few times during our stay so the grown ups could visit the Harmony side of the resort. They were fantastic!!! My son came home with a new backpack, hat, water bottle and t-shirt just for spending time in the club. He also participated in a tie-dye t-shirt activity while he was there, and has been wearing his T-shirt non-stop since. Richie & Suzane made sure the kids in our group felt really comfortable! There were not a ton of kids on the property while we were there, but all of the kids who were there seemed to form a little bond and really enjoy each other! Richie also jumped into an organized game of pool volleyball one day when we needed an extra player and he joked and played and made it so much fun. He also always made sure the kids who were participating in the game felt cheered on. Our room featured a king bed with a twin sized daybed that had a trundle underneath it. This was perfect for us! We were on the second floor of the splash side, but our view was really nice, I could see the water slides, the pool and even out to the water! The beach can suffer from some seaweed, however, they are constantly cleaning it up. It is worth walking to the paradise beach, because when we were there the seaweed was very minimal and sometimes there was none at all, compared to the area closer to the pool. Also, the proximity to the airport was amazing!! At the end of a long travel day, getting right to the resort (where we were greeted with special cocktails as we stepped out of the van) was wonderful!!!! My final thoughts- the staff at this resort take it to the next level!! Would I go back, absolutely! Do I recommend it - YES!

I had a wonderful 4 day stay here with our family. We have two young kids, and it was so wonderful having the option of taking them to the Kidz Club. Richie, Kay Kay and Suzan were so friendly and fun, and genuinely enjoyed having our kids over. It was great knowing they were in good hands while my husband and I got a much needed break to explore the facilities. The staff were all amazing and did all they could to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. The pools, hot tub and lazy river were so relaxing. And I highly recommend getting a massage at the spa - I bet you've never had a massage in a cabana right on the beach! The ocean breeze and sounds of the waves crashing really elevated the experience.

Went back to Coconut Bay after 7 months of being locked down. This is my go to place when I need to re-charge the batteries of life. The Covid traveling concerns where quickly put to rest. The hotel is set up for the new normal, and they did a great job. Saw some old faces, and some new faces. I cannot say I really missed the old faces, as the new staff was even better. In talking to the new staff it is clear why I thought them better. The have years of Cruise ship experience, that training really is evident in the interaction and overall warm hospitality extended y them. The resort was not close to capacity, and the restaurants had reduced hours which one would expect. But the food still amazing as ever, and the drinks always on point. I do want to comment on a recent post about management and the handling of a drunk guest. I was in the lobby when the drunk person was screaming down the hall. Management was very professional and asked them to stop yelling as other guest were being disturbed. The two drunk individuals ignored Zachary and Michael and continued yelling. The managers kept calm and tried their best to deal with this person. But as Zachary said in his response, he remembers his first beer. Clearly some people should not travel if they are going to behave like rowdy hooligans'. Thank you Coconut Bay for another great relaxing time. See you again next year.

Our stay at Coconut Bay was fantastic! While all the restaurants, bars, and pools were great, it was really the employees that made our trip the best. Specifically Tiffany at Concierge and Marvius at the Jerk Tree House. They went above and beyond to make our stay more memorable! Although the island excursions and activities were limited due to Covid, we still were able to enjoy what we could outside the resort and had a great time relaxing within the resort. Highly recommend.

I stayed at Coconut Bay with my wife and 2 kids, aged 7 and 10 for a week. We had a wonderful time there! Here are some details: 1. Food: Due to COVID restrictions, only 1 specialty restaurant was open for dinner on most of the days other than the buffet and couple of eateries. On top of that, specialty restaurants (Silk, Calabash, Seaside) could be booked not more than 2 days in advance when the reservation desk is open from 9 to 5pm. They were also offering limited seating in those restaurants. Hence, it was slightly difficult to get the reservations. But there was still enough variety in the buffet as well as Flip Flops and Jerk Treehouse eateries that we were not bored. I am saying this in spite of all of us being Vegetarians. The hospitality was so good that once they learnt that we are Vegetarians, the Chefs Michael Gray, Daine and Manish came out to speak to us and they specially prepared dishes for us. I and my wife particularly loved the rice and vegetable curry cooked by Chef Michael Gray. Nivia who serves in the buffet was very sweet. We loved the food in Jerk Treehouse. Harley and Marvius were very friendly and we developed a good personal connection with them. Santhana, the manager was very attentive and offered personal care. Coconut boys Ian and Akeem served us fresh coconut water at the beach and we loved talking to them. The bartender in the bar close to Silk (sorry don't remember his name) prepared really nice Virgin Mojitos for us. 2. Kids Club: Our kids loved the Kids Club that they wanted to spend as much time as possible there. We were begging them to spend some time with us!! I want to thank the Kids Club manager (sorry, do not remember his name) who was very accommodative and readily took the kids when they did not expected them to come. I and my wife wanted to go for Ziplining and the tour was starting at 8:30am. Kids club was opening only at 9am. But Zora coordinated and got the Kids Club to open at 8am on one of the days to enable us to go for Ziplining. Thank you Zora! KayKay in Kids Club was available on all days including the day when the Kids Club had to open at 8am. Thank you KayKay! Richie, Lorree and Suzan took care of the kids very well. Thank you to all of them! The kids got a lot of freebies (Stuffed toy, T-shirt, cap) and they loved all of that :) 3. Water activities: There were so many water activities. We went several times to the Splash pool, Lazy river and water slides with the kids. The beach was so long and we had fun taking long walks and facing the waves with the swings in the water. We also enjoyed doing exercise sessions in the pool and Yoga with Vernon. Vernon really pushed us and we loved it! Kids also got to do the water activities as part of Kids Club and they really liked it. 4. Other Entertainment: We got board games and tennis racket/balls from Mahummad in the Cove stage. The kids enjoyed playing Scrabble but they enjoyed playing tennis a lot more. There were 4 lighted tennis courts and they were maintained well enough. There was singing or music going on in buffet, specialty restaurants and close to the main pool all the days. On top of that, there was special entertainment on Saturday and Wednesday. The kids loved the country and cowboy special on Wednesday where they got to dance. 5. Tours: We took the private half day tour and zip lining. We loved the caring drivers. I would like to thank Al who gave a lot of good information and took care of us really well during the private tour. Zip lining was fun too. We went to Tree Top Adventures and all the guides there were amazing. They got us some really nice pictures and videos too! 6. Room: We stayed in the second floor of the Splash section. We had ocean view and the view was not bad. I would not say it was fantastic though since the view was a bit obstructed by the roof of the walkway close to the Splash pool. The room was functional with a small bathroom, enough closets, a king size bed and a single bed with a trundle. The main problem with the room was the A/C. When the A/C is on, the floor got really damp and we did not like the feel of always walking on water! We complained about it and we got someone to visit and check. But they could not correct the problem. So, we simply switched off the A/C. It got sweaty sometimes because of this but it was not very bad. Wish we did not have this problem. This was the only bummer in the whole stay. 7. COVID protocols: The island of St. Lucia has COVID under good control with strict restrictions on entry. We could see that people were generally wearing masks and adhering to social distancing inside the hotel as well as outside. Temperature checks were being done 3 times a day when we visited buffet or restaurants for meals. Temperature checks were also being done at different places we visited during tours. Overall, we felt pretty safe. Thank you and congratulations to Coconut Bay for running such a nice resort!
