Enjoyable stay

Checked into this resort after an awful experience at a place further up the strip. We had a small suite type room for five of us with small balcony and kitchenette - fridge , sink, microwave and utensils etc. two queen size beds and a pull out bed. Room was clean, quiet with sea view. The resort itself felt nice. Beach access with kids play area and hammocks. Two pools with bars attached. We managed to get chairs by the pool on the days we were there and it never felt overly busy - think the busy spring break crowds were thinning out. Easy walking down to beach for a sea swim, though think the beach chairs are extra cost though. Both bars had music during the day and evening which was good - not too loud or overbearing! Bar offered a fair selection of food for lunch or snacks and seemed reasonable, what I liked about this resort is it felt safer and more contained than the place we left. All guests had wrist bands as evidence of being a guest. That said it is quite a large complex Staff were helpful with any queries we had. Can see some reviews say rooms aren’t very nice and bit damp and I could smell damp at times in the building but our room was fine. Overall a good value beach resort that suited our purposes.

Not quite what I was hoping for

Michelle F on Apr 10, 2024

The hotel/resort is in need of renovation. Furniture/ bathroom fixtures are wornand dated. The ceiling tiles in our room were stained. The room looked like it had seen a lot of use. Our mattress, however, was comfortable. Pool area was nice and the beach lovely. My biggest complaint is about the resort fees and the fact that you also have to rent a beach chair $ 19 + tip and tax daily, in addition to the $40 daily resort fee. I truly expected more for the price we were paying. The staff were making efforts to appease and accomodate people with their many complaints. Unfortunately, this was clearly a management issue. The hotel / resort has potential if management invests in its maintenance and renovation .
