Great hotel, will definitely stay here again

karriei (Grand Island, New York) on Apr 12, 2024

What a great hotel! The place is extremely clean, staff are friendly and helpful. They offer a nice breakfast each morning, and cold water all day. Bar is onsite. Restaurants within a 5 minute walk and the beach is across the street. A shuttle is offered if you cannot walk. The pool and hot tub were really nice. Hammocks were peaceful to enjoy. Bbq available to use. Suggest getting a room with a kitchenette as restaurant food is very expensive. Not related to the hotel, but general travel in the area: Also grab whatever beer or wine you like and mix your own drinks. Unless it is happy hour, drinks are also very pricey.

Perfect, laid back place

Clean rooms, super comfortable beds, friendly staff, great location, delicious coffee! Ports of Call never dissapoints. There’s plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Have been back a few times and it’s always a great experience.

Great location in Grace Bay!

TorontoTraveler79 (Toronto) on Apr 05, 2024

If you get a good rate, it's a decent choice. The other guests and staff are very friendly. Great vibe, great location, but the rooms themselves are another story. This is a budget hotel and not overly comfortable if you're a family of 4. The deluxe poolside room offers a king bed and pull out couch. Space is very tight with the couch pulled out. No where to put suitcases for 4. Plus, the couch was terrible - thin mattress and too many springs poking up. The layout of the room put the couch nearest the balcony so forget about tiptoeing around sleeping kids to go outside. The bathroom was adequate. The place was clean. The breakfast was standard fare. The wifi was hit and miss depending where you were. The pool was decent. The beach was gorgeous - a ~7 minute walk with kids. The chairs offered though are pretty run down and saggy. No facilities at the beach and on the weekend, lots of vendors set up directly in front of the hotel chairs to sell souvenirs (and block the view of the water). But it's a public beach, therefore not entirely unexpected. The island is amazing though - quiet and relaxed, so ultimately that made up for everything that fell short. The beds were the biggest deal breaker for us.

Great value— great experience

Sweet little hotel within a five minute walk to beach. Our room was decently sized clean and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Shout outs to Bernard and Watson the bartender, whose always had a smile in n their face and who could not have been kinder to us.
