Oh the Fairmont that has seen better days.

It is not easy to give a good review of a hotel where you were given a portable heater because the heater was making so much noise and could not go above 68. The gym is pitiful. Sad for a Fairmont. The pool is great. The restaurant is good and the service there was wonderful. The hotel reception is lacking. There were 3 at the front desk and we had to wait although there were no other clients.
All in all a pretty great experience.

Stayed overnight in the gold room with my teen granddaughters and daughter in law. We were given a beautiful room on the 14th floor. It was lovely. The appetizers provided in the lounge were very a wonderful way to relax and nibble with a drink after a day of shopping. The breakfast had a great variety of items to choose from. The only issue was with the pool area. The hot tubs were not working and are under renovation. We were only able to utilize the pool.
No Air Conditioning-No Hot Water: Is this REALLY a Fairmont Hotel??

You would imagine with a high end hotel, that the air conditioner would work. We were told that they had turned off the air vents in all levels of the hotel, and that we could have a fan. This fan was disgusting, not cleaned up or anything. Dust hanging from the vents. No hot water in the shower either. We understand we were on a top floor, but we ran it for close to 30 mins and still no hot water. Not at all what we expected from this Fairmont Hotel.
Top Notch

the property has been beautifully renovated, everything was very clean, and great amenities. Perfect location. The room was a good size and had everything we could need an more. The bathroom though OMG amazing! Huge shower, double sinks, just stunning!
Disappointed

Nice building, nice gym. Unfortunately, my room was close to the gym and I could hear everything, especially people slamming weights on every rep. Everything is extra $$$. Not that I watch a lot of tv but the tv here is horrible. Very few channels, mostly sports and news. You can't stream from your device without using Chrome cast and paying for the wifi for $14.65/$21.15 per day. The sauna is basically just a slightly warm room at 55C with no way to adjust, The housekeeping is sub par. I picked up a 'clean' face cloth in my bathroom only to find a bunch of whiskers from someone else between the 2 'clean' face clothes. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. For a supposedly higher end hotel, I was quite disappointed.
