Mywife and I stayed at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver on the Fairmont Gold floor,We had dinner in Notch8, our server was Matt who remembered us from staying at the Hotel a year ago (visting from Victoria) we didnt mention anything to him he just said I remember you !! excellent engagment . food was excellent , the Mussels from Salt Spring Island must be the best anywhere in the world, even in Europe you dont get such a great product , The restaurant on a Saturday night was buzzing. Have to mention the bar person , 30 years with Fairmont Hotel Vancover, started in the old Roof Restaurant wow he has lots of stories .

Excellent experience at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. The location is perfect, near everything you may need during your visit in the city from transit to tourist locations or places to shop. The value is well worth every dollar. Quiet and spacious rooms. Well equipped gym and nice rooftop indoor swimming pool. The in-room dinning service is top notch, offering great & fulfilling meals after a long day.

This hotel lives up to expectation. Luxury hotel with modern facilities. Excellent position. The staff were very accommodating . Many up market shops on the ground floor. A large selection of restaurants both at the hotel and nearby. Recommended

The hotel is perfectly located - just one block from the Sky Train station, Pacific mall, Robson St and an easy 10 minute walk to Canada Place and the waterfront. Unfortunately the rooms are not up to par as there is a lot of noise from the hallway, all doors slam shut (no soft close), large gap at bottom of door floods the room with light at night, HVAC is set to heat this time of year and the room was uncomfortably warm even with the system set to off and the window open. There was a tray of dishes left in the hall for 2 days. Sewage smell in the bathroom. Wifi disconnects constantly. Front Desk staff during day shift are excellent but second shift is very unfriendly. There are at least 4 hotels within one block of the Fairmont so unless this prices in significantly lower, I suggest looking elsewhere.

A lovely historic hotel, it just celebrated 80 years. The room was a bit small with only a small window so it was a bit dark and not much of a view. Bed was a bit hard and lumpy. We were booked here as part of our Scenic tour of Canada but I think it would have been better to stay at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel as we spent quite a bit of time walking to the Waterfront area to see Canada Place, the Flyover Canada, Vancouver Lookout and Gas Town. One note: we were told after we had checked in by fellow guests that if you touch anything in the mini bar you will be charged for it automatically on the hotel computer as it has sensors in it. I did not believe them at first but when we checked at the front desk we were told that they assume you have consumed anything you have touched. We had put our own water bottles in the mini bar and explained this to them so they made a note not to charge us. Not only were we not told by staff when we checked in I find this a very unfriendly practice to charge you just for touching anything in the fridge. I've never come across it before.
