Pretty location but the nickel and diming cheapens the experience
Whitney P on Dec 06, 2025
Beautiful location, but the nickle and diming, lack of service and information, and construction is not worth the exorbitant lodging cost and resort fee. Room came with poop at the bottom of the toilet upon entering, a broken TV, and burned out light bulbs. Clothes iron had burned fabric coating it. Only one pool is open and the beach is filled with stinging jellyfish (including the deadly man o’ war ??). Can rarely get ahold of the front desk. Website is largely unhelpful and full of inaccuracies (breakfast is NOT included). Want an umbrella to keep your infant from getting burned? $40, despite a $50 per day resort fee. Gas station quality pre-made salads are $20 from a cooler (plus 20% gratuity). Water is $9. Watered down drinks are $20. Two basic breakfasts took over an hour to get and cost $85. Got so ridiculous that we just made jokes that we shouldn’t ask for clothes hangers because it would cost $5000 plus gratuity. The staff are doing what they can, but it’s clear they are understaffed and underpaid. Nothing but a cash grab for a nice area.
A true luxurious beach hotel experience!

The Diplomat hotel absolutely never disappoints! The service by all of the staff is incredible. The food is excellent and the views from the hotel are exceptional. It’s one of our very favorite places to stay in the Miami/Broward area that is very centralized to all areas of Miami and the Fort Lauderdale beaches.
Anniversary Stay was amazing

Kindred, I believe his name was? He was fantastic with recommendations and went out of his way to accommodate us during our anniversary upon checking us in. Very thankful for his assistance. Definitely looking forward to returning during some warmer weather. I will definitely stay here again.
Relax time with kids
Ana B (Miami Lakes, Florida) on Nov 28, 2025
Our stay at the hotel was absolutely elevated by the presence of the Kids Club, specially Evelyn's attention it turned out to be an essential part of our trip. With the pool and beach being too cold to enjoy, we were incredibly grateful to have such a well-run, engaging indoor alternative for our children. The Kids Club team was warm, energetic, and truly attentive. They kept our little one entertained for hours with creative activities, games, and themed sessions that felt both fun and enriching. It wasn’t just a place to pass the time, it was a highlight of the holiday for the kids. For parents, it made all the difference. We were able to relax knowing our children were safe, happy, and fully entertained despite the chilly weather outside. Honestly, without the Kids Club, our stay would have been far less enjoyable. If you’re traveling as a family, this hotel’s Kids Club is not just a bonus ,it’s a necessity. It transformed our experience and gave us the perfect balance of family time and personal downtime. Highly recommend!Front desk shoulb be advising customers with kids once they check in because I found thia club searching on the website of the hotel but there is no sign offering the kids club on the hotel.
