Decent price, great location, needs to not have floral scented bathroom products

Luv staying here, but probably won't stay here again. The ONLY problem is that the hotel has switched to lavender products instead of the tropical coconut products they used to offer, and I am allergic to lavender. I firmly believe hotels should never use floral scents because so many people have allergies. The restaurant has good views, but it was understaffed, so there were empty tables, and people had to wait. Nice pool. Next to the ocean. Had construction going, so they upgraded us to an oceanfront room in the Lagoon portion It didn't really bother us too much as we tended to be out during the day when it was happening.
Great location, good facility and good people.

Spent 6 days here, perfect location, great facilities and very good staff. Good value for the cost. Only drawback was that there was a lack of staff, the Mai Tai bar is fantastic but less than half full with people lined up waiting to get in, tables left empty because there weren't enough servers. This was not just the Royal Kona it seemed to be an issue throughout the island. Lots of closed shops and restaurants and lots of help wanted signs. The people working were fantastic but were few in number.
