After a 16 month hiatus, WestJet is welcoming back onboard service with enhancements to products and services that were modified as a result of the pandemic.

After a 16 month hiatus, WestJet is welcoming back onboard service with enhancements to products and services that were modified as a result of the pandemic. 

Starting today, guests travelling in the Premium and Business Cabins can look forward to new offerings, delivered with exceptional WestJet service. Guests in Economy will enjoy the return of full snack and beverage service including the reintroduction of buy on board selections. Full details and changes are outlined by cabin online here

“As we safely bring back the service our guests have been asking for we have taken this opportunity to enhance the onboard experience across all our cabins,” said Robert Antoniuk, WestJet Chief Operating Officer. “With guests returning to the skies, our world class crews are ready to welcome them back with an elevated inflight experience.”

787 Business and Premium Highlights

On WestJet’s 787 North America and Transatlantic services, meal offerings in the Business and Premium Cabins will feature new choices and will rotate more frequently to offer more variety and seasonal options. Menu items will continue to be locally and globally inspired. 

Transatlantic:

  • Choice of appetizers, entrees and separate dessert or cheese tray service in Business cabin
  • Newly-designed menus with wine and beverage list included
  • New snacks with after take-off aperitif drinks
  • Tray-based service

North America: 

  • Business cabin specialty meals.
  • Newly-designed menus with wine and beverage list included
  • New snack with after-take-off aperitif drinks including French Champagne 
  • Tray-based service
  • Premium cabin Breakfast menu (00:00-09:30) and Lunch/Dinner menu snack-combo offerings

Economy and Buy on Board Highlights

On all flights longer than 90 minutes in length, WestJet is reintroducing its buy-on-board options and upgrading its product offering to include:

  • Return of full complimentary beverage services with new selections and new purchase offerings
  • New snack-combo offerings

As WestJet welcomes more guests back to the skies, with Safety Above All, the airline has launched its Travel Ready Series aimed to welcome guests back to travel. Travel Ready was created to ensure guests are equipped and prepared with the information they need before, during and after their flight.
