    Another great vacation at Club Amigo

    We came back to our happy place. There have been a great deal of Renovations going on around the property and they look great. Management is working hard to make everyone's stay enjoyable with all the Renovations. Staff is still as wonderful as always and are eager to serve us to make everyone's vacation memorable. We went during what we call low season for foreign travelers thus many sections of the hotel were closed but that did not affect our vacation. We cant wait to go back again next year.

    Such a gem in a beautiful country. An older resort under renovation, but friendly staff and clean amenities makes this my home away from home. The food is not bad for Cuba, go with no expectations and you will have a wonderful time!

    This was my sixth visit to this resort. Very large 4 types of accommodation available. Great staff food especially at Beny More restaurant. Great entertainment it was Holoween. Great bartenders in lobby especialy Macho & Dunia Dariel makes best cappuccinos 24 hr bar & snacks great ., live musicians everywhere.amazing tourists from Canada, Russia & Cubans. Beaches groomed well , grounds keot v clean , nice security staff. 3 minor incidents 1 young cubans on weekends a bit rough & careless. 2 waited for 50 mins. for porter & still NS. 3 cell phone smached from Russian friend near hotel disco . Overall 4* rating. Great value & lots of Fun will go again in Jan 2020 stay for 2 weeks with a group of 10 . Bravo Management.

    My wife and I have been to Cuba numerous times we have visited Habana, Varadero, Cayo Coco, Cayo Santa Maria, Holguin so it's not our first trip to the rodeo and I'm in the Hospitality Industry for over 35 years and normally don't complain about little things but I will here this is the first place where "ALL INCLUSIVE" is not all inclusive false advertising or buyer beware I was charged $1.00 per bottled water, between my wife and I we drank 2 to 3 bottles per day. $15 pesos here The safe in the room was also not included $2.00 per day $14 pesos there The chairs on the beach $1.00 per chair total $2 pesos Drinks at the beach bar total$4 pesos and this beach is on the resort It felt like every where we turned we were being nickle and dime (GOUGED) The food was very poor always the same items, they would only change the positions on the buffet table not very many options either unless you went to their other restaurants run by another company called "Palmares" where you have to pay for everything but they share the same grounds as the resort really weird but a good strategy on their part they have a captive audience We arrived on a Tuesday by Friday they ran out of money and if we wanted to exchange money we had to go to town and we left on the Tuesday and still had no money At the front desk they weren't very friendly it looked and seemed like we were bothering them when we wanted anything like the phone cards or information on activities By the third day we were ready to transfer to another hotel if it were not for the exceptional service we received from an apprentice waitress at the lobby bar by the name of Tania Lopez she would always greet us with a genuine smile and made us feel special and brought us those special Spanish coffee THANK YOU Tania Will we be back to Cuba ? yes, but not at Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca Sorry

    Was not told Oct 12,13 3000 cubans would be using hotel all weekend, very unprofessional and dangerous. Also entry at airport Aduanas put 14 pakistan guys in front of me??? On way out at holguin airport, 12 pakistans moved in front of me on check in, they refused to stay in their own line, Trudeau what have you done? Sunwing is greedy i had to pay 300 dollars more for ticket And they were again one hour late on arrival Thank god dec 15th they will have to pay for delays July 3 they delayed me 12 yrs at t.o. airport
