We took a two week family vacation to the Hawaiian Islands in July to celebrate the completion of my cancer treatment. My teenagers are still talking about the Outrigger Hotel! The ocean view was stunning and the location was right in the middle of the action in Waikiki. The breakfast buffet was amazing and had a huge variety; it was nice to wake up and know everyone would be happy with breakfast at the hotel, on the deck overlooking the beach. Our second hotel when we moved on to the Big Island could not live up to the Outrigger. (My stubborn kids boycotted the continental breakfast). I hope to come back again someday. I highly recommend this place.

Just got back from an amazing Waikiki trip. The Outrigger Waikiki Beach is in a perfect location and the staff is excellent! Hotel security is good. Just a few heads up for future guests - get a direct ocean view directly facing the ocean at least 6 stories up. This is because Waikiki is a CITY so it’s noisy! You’ll hear the street goings on at all hours and hear the garbage trucks at 5:00am. Second you need the breeze from the ocean as there is pot smoking EVERYWHERE - we couldn’t use the balcony because of the smell!!! Even at 500 am! One last thing the hotel needs to upgrade the mattresses but I’d still go back tomorrow for that beach and the great staff!

We have been to Waikiki many times and this is by far the most relaxing time we have spent in Hawaii. The food was absolutely delectable, especially the Mahi tacos, and the bar is of course sensational. We love being able to have the comfort of the pool and chaise lounges right near the beach if we choose to spend the day on the sand and then relax at the pool afterwards. Service was top notch and we will surely return again. Thank you for the hospitality...you seem to truly exemplify the meaning of the word.

We stayed there for ten days prior to going to Maui, the hotel was nice and great location , great view with great price. Staff was friendly . Loved Dukes downstairs. It was right on the beach and very crowded, live music by the pool. Finaly, good place ,glad we stayed here.

This hotel is in a great location on Waikiki beach & also has a shuttle to locations such as Diamond Head albeit not that frequently. Staff were pleasant & helpful & rooms were a good size & clean. The only issue we had was being offered an upgrade. Be careful what you book regarding a sea view. There’s a partial sea view , a sea view & an ocean front. We had booked a partial sea view & were offered an upgrade to sea view at $50 extra per night. However we subsequently found out that the difference should have been an extra $17 pn but that due to an excellent Expedia rate the hotel had charged us more. To be fair they did agree to honour the $17 pn once my husband had spoken to them. The pool although beach front is tiny & towels are complimentary. We had room 821 & the ocean view was lovely. Dukes restaurant is below the hotel & is busy & noisy but this didn’t detract from our stay. Definitely recommended.
