    Our family has been coming to Maui Parkshore since the 80’s, so clearly it works for us. It’s got super-clean BBQs and pool. There are two 50-foot mango trees on the back edge of the property. The proximity to Kam 3 beach, snorkeling in Makena, and other options in Kihei is ideal. However, the condos are modest and each one different as their all independently owned. Most lack AC. But if you want an affordable option that allows you to cook your own meals and have easy access, this is a solid choice.

    I struggled to find reviews after booking Maui Parkshore #202. We loved our stay here! I see a lot of people complain about condos not being updated and such. Well we book a place to relax and sleep, and as long as it's not bug infested and horrible conditions, we don't care. No it's not updated, but it didn't affect our stay. Literally, the only complaint we have is that the queen bed is pretty hard. Other than that, it was clean, very inviting, decent view. Ok, no ac, but if the lanai doors are open slightly and the front door is open, it sends a good breeze through and we survived. There were beach towels, beach toys, a beach umbrella, boogie boards, and coolers for use! Perfect, saved a lot of $$ on renting. Linens were fresh, some of the towels were stained from makeup and such, but it didn't affect how it dried us off. The starter kit from Maui Condo and Home was exactly as mentioned. The property itself is very well taken care of. Elevators are available. Shopping carts and an unloading/loading zone are available for use. Maintenance was out every single day cleaning and taking care of the property. There are employees that consistently make sure the rules are being followed. There are gas grills for use and they work great and are in great working condition. There is a pool, but we didn't use it. Kam 3 is right across the street. Wi-fi is also included with your stay. My son used it for his tablet, and it seemed to work well. I personally enjoyed staying in 202 with my family of 6 and was impressed with the unit.

    307 - Family Vacay Success!

    Condo location is perfect! We enjoyed easy access to many incredible snorkeling sites and enjoyed walking across the street to Kamole III beach for whale watching during sunsets & sunrises. Grilling our freshly caught dinner on their grills, made dinner on the lanai that much more enchanting. The remodeled unit was well thought out, clean and very comfortable for our family w/ pre-teenage kids. Kitchen was very well stocked, TV in each bedroom & LR..wifi worked just dandy, pool was clean & nice size. I do think the overall building is trying to pull out of the 70/80's...not a concern to us, maybe because we were out exploring or relaxing on the beach. Only interaction with staff was the morning grounds keepers...friendly fellow. I will say the local Franklins (bird) make a rooster seem silly. The bedrooms are away from the street, but seem closer to the feathered alarm clocks!

    The best features of this unit are: first of all its location directly across from Kam 3. That’s why we chose it. We really liked being right across from the beach and park. The unit has a large patio, and floor to ceiling patio sliders which allow for the living area to get a lot of light and a nice breeze. Other pros are: good water pressure and plenty of hot water, washer/dryer works well, management company/ maintenance was very responsive (same day) when the disposal wasn’t working and they also brought ant baits as we had small insects in the hall bath, though I did not see bugs anywhere else in the unit. The unit has 3 beach chairs and a few other beach/pool items which we did not expect to find. Having no A/C was surprisingly OK. The sun in the unit only got intolerable in late afternoon though we were rarely in the unit at that time. There are ceiling fans and a few other fans provided as well. Microwave and oven are newer. Fridge middle of the road. Dishwasher older but functional. Complex has a nice basic pool, shuffleboard, and very well-maintained grill area. Cons: The unit is very very dated. The building was built in the 70’s and my guess is the kitchen cabinets are original and have been painted. They look better in the photos then in person. They’re sticky and just kind of yuccy at this point. Same yuccy-ness factor goes for the carpet, repaired tile in kitchen, bathrooms, and the furniture and lighting. Everything in this unit just feels worn, old and somewhat dirty. The vents are filthy. The lighting in the bathrooms is very dim. Whomever owns this unit appears not to be willing to do an overhaul on it, unlike most of the other units at Maui Parkshore. We were primarily going for location on this rental and also needed a moderately priced 2BR/2BA. I knew from the photos it was dated. I did not expect it to be as worn and dirty-feeling as it did, and overall we did not enjoy staying in this unit, In hindsight I would have increased our budget to get a nicer rental that would have made our stay in Kihei more comfortable.

    Maui Parkshore Kihei 637084372 We arrived late in the evening in Nov 2018 after our flight was delayed. We were excited about the reviews and were looking forward to getting away to a beautiful place and enjoying all the beautiful things Maui has to offer for 2 weeks. The condo was completely renovated and the owner did a very nice job. Things are new and beautiful. When we woke up we opened the patio doors to sit outside to have our morning coffee and realized we have made a mistake booking this unit. The unit sits directly onto South Kihei Road. It is a busy road with constant road noise. To the point that you cannot sit outside to hear yourself think or even open the patio doors to enjoy the beautiful maui sun. This unit also sits above the pool on the 3rd floor so you also get ALL the noise from the screaming kids in the pool. No thanks! Extremely disappointed to the point that we booked another unit the next day and got out of there!
