Horrible Customer Service
Reviewed by Richjendiaz(Riverside, California) on Jan 23, 2021
I stayed at the Golden Nugget last week for my husband’s 59th birthday we had a total of 12 rooms and 1 Spa Suite. I had previously called to see if we could have a small gathering in the 1,200 sqft suite and they never indicated we couldn’t until we arrived. Once we were there they told is we could have 4 people max but we have 3 kids!!! The manager at check-in was no help so long story short I’ve emailed their customer service 6 times with no response. It’s crazy that we couldn’t have a few people in a $559 night room but every bar and venue was overflowing with people!!!!
room 1821 (not sure what type it was)

Went for a special birthday and brought quests to share the Golden Nuggett experience. Room was just top clean....all baseboards had not been clean in a long time. Furniture was pretty banged up. TV was slanted and could not straightened. Just really poor housecleaning and wear and tear needed attention. I was embarrassed and my guest chose not to return. Casino staff was amazing and casino floor was nice and clean. Needed paper and pencil (it was not offered).
Saltgrass is terrific but Christopher Mitchell is bad for Vegas!

Was on Fremont Street and wanted to stop by the Golden Nugget and play some slots and some high limit with a few of the guy. I ran into Christopher Mitchell again and he was vlogging his exploits with no mask on. Thought it was embarrassing that this individual is still able to film inside a private property and can possibly spread Covid-19 to others unknowingly. It’s frustrating seeing people who are totally selfish and centered. Other than that, the facility was great and I recommend Saltgrass for a fantastic steak. Pool was really nice. Thank you for Fred aka The Muscle for the recommendations. Peace and love everyone!
The Golden Nugget

The check in part was easy, but the lines were LONG due to Covid-19 and temperatures having to be taken, etc. I probably stood in line close to 45 minutes. There were vacant computers at the check in stations, so more staff would have been better able to accomodate the long line. With that being said, the room was very nice as always. We have stayed here probably 10 times in the last 25 years, and it is always our "go-to" hotel of choice. One of their awesome features is their fabulous buffet, which was regrettably absent this time. Other places on our trip this time DID have their buffets open, where you pointed and told the server what you wanted and they placed it on your plate. No contact and the process went very smoothly as people couldn't "dawdle" over the selections. Wish The Golden Nugget had had this buffet type offering available. The few times in Las Vegas that we haven't stayed at The Golden Nugget, we have always gone there for their buffet regardless. Close to covered walkway with shops and entertainment. We like this hotel because it's away from the Strip and quieter with less crowds.
It was OK

Had a parlor suite, it was nothing special just extra room. Dark, not much light, clean, very comfy bed. 2 bathrooms a plus. COVID made it affordable, but I would never pay full price for that room, really not worth it. Nothing operating normal due to COVID.
