Run down, poor customer service.

dj2183 on Apr 14, 2024

My wife and I booked a weekend getaway at planet Hollywood hoping for some stress free time away from our busy lives. Only to find upon check in that there were multiple small issues with the room (a light flickering in the shower, and 1 of the two bathroom sink faucets didn’t work). We didn’t mention those as we don’t usually complain about the small things. On our second evening, my wife decided to run a bath before bed as we had to get up early the next morning. It turned out that the bathroom tub faucet would not turn off. After calling the front desk, they sent up maintenance who fixed the 2 faucets and rewired a new light which all took over an hour. This took place from approximately 10pm to 11:30pm. Before maintenance arrived I went down to the lobby and requested a new room so that we could get to bed as we needed to be up early. At this point the front desk manager Brian stated they were full and no rooms available. This was as I was listening to the person checking in right next to me being offered numerous room upgrades for better views. I would not recommend staying at planet Hollywood unless you are willing to put up with run down rooms, and customer service that is not willing to make your stay more comfortable. I hope others will have a better experience, but I would not recommend to anyone I know.

Reasonably Priced in the Center of It All

VingVingVing (Bronx, New York) on Apr 12, 2024

Hotel is in the center of the strip where all the action is and well below what you'd pay at Bellagio and Cosmopolitan. Rented room 1695 Fountain View room for 4 days with an awesome view of the Bellagio fountains. Room was sufficiently spacious with a large bathroom. Room was clean and had an in-room fridge. Beds were comfortable but the pillows were too soft. If you have a car, note that the walk from self-parking (SP) to the rooms is quite long. If you do SP, at check-in, leave bags at concierge and then park so you don't have to lug your bags through the Miracle Mile shops and the casino. Do same at checkout. I switched to valet the second day ($40/day with in/out privileges). I noticed I was charged on day 2 for both self-parking and valet. The woman at front desk agreed to remove the self parking charge and actually removed both charges ($58 total). You have access to Miracle Mile shops from casino and there are great cheap eats available. I recommend the Earl of Sandwich which is right in casino. Overall, a very nice stay.

Horrible stay - next low budget bare bones hotel on the strip

Laurel A on Apr 12, 2024

1) the water was shut off in our room for hours at a time- could not shower/brush our teeth/etc. when we told the front desk (assuming they would like to know) they said it was a planned outage- did not give us advanced warning if they had planned for it, and did not offer anything for the inconvenience. 2) very loud construction noises/jackhammering going at the hotel from 1am-5am multiple nights of our stay leaving us unable to sleep 3) booked king, given two queens (seems to be a common issue that they always overbook king rooms) steer clear of Planet Hollywood if you want to sleep or shower during your stay.

Checkin - SLOW - they load your card too!

JustFine7 (London, United Kingdom) on Apr 10, 2024

Clean and nice basic room. Had a twin king for my solo trip. Lifts are good. Public toilets are good and the casino is… well… just like the others. A good central location but not top notch like the Bellagio. The room was a little tired and I don’t like the fact they load your card with $700 when you book in. The check in desks move SLOW

Big and clean.

751derekm (Thunder Bay, Canada) on Apr 10, 2024

Nice hotel with lots going on. I have been to Las vegas 9-10 times and always wanted to stay here so this was the first time. I found the casino floor very confusing on trying to navigate around. I understand every casino is like this but this seemed to be trying a lot harder to make that a thing. Pool wasnt great compared to other places but hotel was clean and fun. The attached mall had great deals to eat and drink which is a plus. Staff was nice. I would stay here again but I do try and stay at a new place everytime.
