We have always loved this resort - in fact, have stayed here upwards of 20 times. Pride of Place is a concept that (to me) reflects pride in self/property/pretty much anything. Sadly, the Westin Princeville has slipped in this regard. I've notified them of my concerns and hope they're rectified before our next visit. The property itself is gorgeous; it is a matter of tending to the rooms that is of concern.

This was our second time staying here and we truly love it! The staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating - any concerns or problems are dealt with promptly and with a smile. The rooms are amazing, you really feel at home here. You won't want to spend much time in your room, though, because the grounds are magical - especially at night with the torches lit throughout the property, this is Hawaii at its finest. You can totally just relax and unwind here or enjoy a plethora of activities nearby. I highly recommend the Westin Princeville Resort Villas - just be careful entering and exiting the resort - the speed humps are REALLY aggressive.

This resort is located in Princeville in Kauai. It's about a 50 minute drive from the airport, but the drive is scenic and pretty easy. We stayed in a studio and had a great view of the mountains and a partial ocean view. The property is charming but no direct beach access. They do offer a free shuttle to the Princeville resort that does have beach access. The studio is comfortable enough for 2 people, but the bed was only a full size bed. The resort has a nice pool with several other smaller pool options. The Nanea restaurant was good for dinner, but a bit pricey. They do offer you a split where you can purchase 2 half orders of 2 dishes in place of 1 full dish. The resort has a nice game section with pool, ping pong, and a few other games. They did have a movie night on the lawn that we sadly missed. I would love to see them offer more options like a couple movie nights, more live music/ karaoke, dancing under the stars, Hawaiian grilling lessons, etc. The gym and steam room were great with a wonderful view as well. Nice little shop for food/ basics and Starbucks coffee. Parking is limited, but valet is only $2 additional over the self parking. Overall, we've really enjoyed this resort and are looking forward to returning.

This place USED to be great, it is now TRASH.

This place USED to be great, its terrible now. The Good: The views and place itself is beautiful especially at night with the tiki torches. But thats all that is good about this place. The Bad: -On the first day, we got THREE phone calls to the room trying to sell us on their stupid "giveaways" which just lead you to purchase more. -They will do ONE weekly cleaning for your stay. If you would like daily cleanings, it costs upwards of $40 per DAY. -They claim to change your sheets* yes, with an asterisk. -They claim to change your towels (SPOILERS: THEY DIDNT ours still hand sand/dirt on it from a hike) -They claim to clean up your trash, which they did not. Our room did not even have a trash can and we had to request it. I am giving them one star with no chance of redemption. They will fix the mistakes they made, but not the review they will recieve. What a joke, you want to pay $300 a night for this? Look elsewhere and be happier with your stay than here. Marriott BonVoy? More like Marriott BonVoyage from your terrible hospitality and service. As owners, this is the deciding factor as to why we will not be in the future. Absolutely disgusting from a place that used to make you feel like a star.

We love this Westin property and do our best to go there yearly. It is very clean, the staff are always polite and share the Aloha Spirit. They make you feel welcome and seem to truly be glad you are visiting their work home. The high Category of Bonvoy 7 rating is because of its location overlooking the beautiful blue Pacific and incredible mountain and garden views. That is the luxury part of this resort. If you want a Ritz Carlton property, this is not it, but it is a lovely property with fabulous views, always clean rooms, gorgeous landscaping, very nice Aloha Spirit staff and just an overall great place. We will be back just as soon as we can !! Thank you Westin Princeville for another great stay! And, a very special shout out to, NATO, who works at the Market at the resort. He is so professional and makes the very best coffee on the island. It is one of the Starbucks brands, but he makes it better than most. I hope I spelled his name correctly. He has been there I think since the resort opened. He seemed to be there every morning making the first cups of coffee for everyone who came in and out for hours. Westin, please recognize him for his politeness and kindness in his own way to your guests. He is a keeper. We saw him at the Princeville Village area too and he was so nice. He knew who we were and just made us feel so welcome to the island. To those who want to know if they should visit this resort .... no. We'd rather keep it to ourselves !! HA !! Seriously, go .... it is a great place !
