Let me start with a confession. I’m a bit obsessed with the Secrets Resorts. It started with our first trip to Secrets Wild Orchid in 2017. It was love at first visit! When I learned there were other Secrets properties, some in other parts of the Caribbean, I made it my business to explore them all. We’ve been to Secrets in Montego Bay, Dreams in Punta Cana and Breathless in Montego Bay. So, Zoetry, the only Secrets property we hadn’t visited in Montego Bay, was pretty high on my Luxury Caribbean Resorts Bucket List. Wide, open, uncrowded spaces As you can see from the pictures there are plenty of wide, open and uncrowded spaces. This made it a perfect place during a time of pandemic. The beach I read some of the reviews about the size of the beach. To me, it’s the right size for the size of the resort. In fact, for an intimately sized property, the beach front was larger than I expected. The very best thing to me was how empty the beach was. As you can see in the pictures, I literally had the beach to myself on most days! There were complimentary water activities like paddle boarding that were available. I also understand there was a daily snorkeling tour. I never participated in it and opted to try my own snorkeling. Even in the snorkeling pic, you can see how empty the beach is. The food There are multiple named restaurants on site but truly only 2 main restaurants. Combine that with the resort being at low capacity, typically only one restaurant was open at a time. You could also order room service 24 hours a day. Though I will say, the menu doesn’t change so if you’re there for more than a few days, it gets old, quickly. The food in the restaurants was delicious and fresh. Every day there was an offering of some type of authentic Jamaican food. Since there were a variety of healthy and/or vegan options offered at every meal; it made me feel a little better as I counterbalanced the healthy food with unhealthy amounts of alcohol, lol. The ambience Zoetry is full of ambience and romantic nooks and crannies both indoors and outdoors. Most, if not all, are definitely Gram worthy!

My husband and I spent a week at Zoetry Montego Bay the first week of December 2020. We needed a break from the chaos of covid and were so grateful for the warm and friendly welcome we received when we arrived. Shout out to Tenneil who treated us like rock starts, blessed us in so many ways, made herself available via whatsapp for anything we had questions about, offered an amazingly creative solution to me for my husband's birthday (aka romantic dinner for two on the pier! Highly recommend!). Melissa and the team took care of us by the pool and around the resort. We were rested and rejuvenated after our stay - exactly has we had hoped!

My husband and I booked this hotel for our elopement during New Years. We were worried about traveling during the pandemic but Zoetry and Jamaica in general is taking every precaution necessary to help stop the spread of the virus. The hotel was super clean, the food and drinks were amazing, and the staff was unbelievable! The best service I’ve ever had at any hotel. We will be back for sure!

Had a great time on the resort. Very safe, clean and calming. The staff on the resort was excellent. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. Great pool and beach areas. I would highly recommend the beach spa service and the candle light dinner under the stars for 2.

    Sub-Par, especially as a member.

Upon arriving to the resort, we were notified that our rooms weren't ready. I advised the front desk staff that I had requested for both rooms to be together, because we were a party. I was told the rooms weren't originally together, so they needed to get another room ready. After waiting about 3 hours, around 3 pm, I went back to check-in to figure out why it was taking so long, and Kyle(butler) takes me to room 211. Immediately, upon entering the room, I tell him we were supposed to have a Oceanview room, and asked if we were going to receive the upgrade of a Oceanview room with soaking tub. Kyle called Kevin(assuming, his boss) and told him that we were in the wrong room, because we paid for Oceanview. Kevin told him they had no more oceanview rooms available, and this was the best they could do. We, then, went to the other room(rm 214), which had a garden and dirty pool/swamp view. Upon notifying Kevin that we paid for a Oceanview from their room as well, he stated again none were available. He offered to switch us to a first floor, tropical view swim out with a much smaller room, which we declined. I did not book a swim-out originally, because we weren't going to use it. Arlene, the UVC rep, worked very hard to try to salvage the situation. However, Kevin had an attitude when we complained, and seemed very unwilling to correct the situation. During a conversation between the three of us, he was very smug and came off rude and uncaring. During our stay, several other situations happened where we would not return to Zoetry Montego Bay: - Restaurant service was sub-par. Took multiple hours to be served breakfast on last day at resort. - Room service orders forgotten and undelivered. Food was always cold on arrival, desserts extremely small, not tasty - Food overall very average tasting, no intrinsic things included(meaning salt/pepper/butter, things you would need to consume room service food.). No silverware, bought porridge with no spoons. - No linen replaced in rooms after housekeeping service, had to request towels/face clothes everyday - Cleanliness was lacking after requesting housekeeping service. - Air conditioner was broken and blowing extremely cold air in 211, but was "stuck" on 24 C. There were certain staff who tried to give great customer service. and I do want to say thank you to Arlene, Melissa, and one male waiter who was our server during the private dinner. Overall, the stay was sub-par, and we will not be returning.
