My experience is at this time. Sucks

Climber11099152734 on Apr 21, 2024

Of course! Here's a revised version of your message: "I'm extremely disappointed with my experience on the second day of my stay. The TV options are limited, and I'm frustrated that I can't access apps like Netflix on the smart TV. It's disheartening to hear that the front desk person mentioned that's how the TV is programmed."paying so much money it still doesn’t have access to a up-to-date TV with apps where you can watch is unacceptable given that my stay is at $5000 stay

Max Relax! Yeah Mon!

Our second time back at this resort, and it did not disappoint! They have hired a new executive chef since our 2023 stay, and the food quality was immediately noticeable - much better! Once again, Delroy and Felix were our butlers and they were both top notch, going above and beyond to exceed our requests. A special shoutout to Chris at the bar. He was very courteous and made great cocktails all week. The resort is continually maintained and clean each day. Of course, if you’ve been to Jamaica, you know it’s all about the great people! Our 10th trip , and we will be back again! IRIE!!!

Awful

SCOTT W (Boston, Massachusetts) on Apr 18, 2024

We were looking for a place to spend our 25th anniversary with excellent food as well as service. We didn’t receive either of those things here. The food is like cafeteria food and the service was awful. Beach here is nice and the room was okay. Overall, not worth the money.

Wonderful stay

This was our ninth time to Negril, but our first time at Sandals. I was a little concerned about our choice after reading some of the reviews, but it turns out that we were very happy with our stay and we plan to return. Our room was newly renovated and spacious with a beautiful view of the water. We were celebrating a birthday and upon room arrival there were balloons, flower petals, champagne on ice and our butler had filled our whirlpool bath for us. Everything we had asked for in our refrigerator was there as well as the bottle of liquor we had requested and our ice bucket was full. Wonderful first impression! The beach was beautiful, the pool in front of our building was clean and quiet. Our butler’s Roy and O’Dane did a fantastic job taking care of us all we and they added those special touches to our stay. We had a couples massage at the spa- so relaxing! We also did a snorkel excursion and a private boat tour and both were so nice! We found all of the staff to be friendly and helpful. Our building was quiet, but if you wanted more activity during the day there was the option to go to the main pool. Nightlife was lacking so if it’s party you want this probably isn’t your place. The buffet breakfast was good and lunches were as well. We were a little disappointed in the dinner food though. Overall, we had a wonderful time. Our experience was far different from any negative reviews I read. We came home feeling relaxed and happy. What else could you ask for?

Disappointed

We will never go back to this sandals resort. We have been to other resorts such as Secrets, Dreams, and RIU’s, but this is the first time at a Sandals resort. This was over all the worst experience at a resort we have had. The money you pay for this one is definitely not worth it, expected so much more for a Sandals resort. Disappointed with the Sandals lounge at the airport, there were not really any options (Mobay lounge was much better when we did that a few years ago). The check in was a disaster. Staff would not grant anyone wifi access until our rooms were ready (first time experiencing this nonsense at a resort). After waiting for about an hour just standing in the lobby trying to get checked in, we were starving, we requested to go sit down & eat as a group while we waiting for our rooms. The staff was less than pleased with this, but accommodated us. There were few women staff that were friendly, but the majority are not very friendly. Breakfast buffet options are not great. There is no buffet option for any other meal time. There’s a lot to be said for being in island time, but expect to wait at least an hour for a sit down meal (any time of the day). I was surprised hibachi did not offer a show at dinner (this is only resort that’s never done a show with dinner reservations). They just cooked it in front of us and served it. The cafe desserts / snacks were a disappointment. Entertainment was ok but doesn't compare to the other resorts. Pool water at swim up was absolutely disgusting. I would think with being a smaller resort it would be easier to manage to maintain the pool area. The entertainment staff was pleasant. Enjoyed the water sports that were available and staff in that area was great. Hate the lounge chairs at the beach - you cannot put them all the way flat so makes it hard to lay on your stomach (first I have ever experienced this at a resort). Our room - the AC was terrible! Had the temp turned all the way down, the fan on high, & it felt like I had the ac on low. By the last 2 days it’s didn’t feel like we had an AC in our room at all. AC leaked onto the floor the entire stay. Was with a great group & made the most of the stay. Save your money & go somewhere else.
