    Plenty of 'harmless' lovebugs, come only during winter months.

    Avoid staying unless its Winter (to be safe)! We checked in on 4th October 2019, 3pm and there were many lovebugs(way more than the pictures attached, only if i could upload videos on tripadvisor) outside the room, we opened the door and the room was very clean so we thought its alright and left to visit magic kingdom. After visiting magic kingdom and coming back after dinner at 130am, the room was infested with lovebugs. We called room service but they could only offer housekeeping of vacuuming the bugs off. Right after housekeeping left, more bugs appeared into our sight from hidden areas. We are not fussy people but we paid for a room and not a campsite. The bugs were more suited for a fear factor set instead. At this stage, we requested for a change of resort(spoke to Alex, the manager/leader onsite for the night) but was told occupancy for all Disney resorts were at 100% and they could only find a solution the next morning, even when we were happy to top up any cost differences. We were told the bug issues were “across all Disney properties”. Essentially, our options were to live with the bugs or find somewhere else (at 3am). As we did not felt comfortable, we urgently searched and made calls to look for another accommodation. To be fair, we were refunded(i believe this is still processing) for the hotel portion of our vacation package(we did showered in the room). We were also given 3 extra fastpasses per person to compensate for the time lost. However, the stressful feeling of being stranded and the added cost of paying expensive rack rates(for the 1st night) + uber costs + costs incurred through currency exchange for refund) left a very sour note for our honeymoon. In conclusion, we felt more could be done, like assisting to transfer to another property, or recommending a nearby property. We see no effort made on this front hence I decided to write this review. We honestly still highly recommend this resort but for the winter period only due to the cleanliness and cheerful cast members. Disclaimer: We do understand lovebugs are harmless and are common in Orlando but none were found in the 3 other accommodations we stayed in(Quality Inn At International Drive Orlando, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek) nor did we see much of it at Magic Kingdom or Epcot. Because of this, my assumption is that this issue can be contained.

    We stayed here for one night in a standard room in September. The room was ready for us at a little after 10 am and we got our request of Herbie the love bug section. I love the updated rooms and the theming of the resort. Our room was clean. The cinnamon roll cheeseburger meal from the Roxy ( in the food court) is amazing! The buses were great too. We would definitely stay here again.

    It was just coincidence that my wife booked us here when we stayed here two years ago. We liked our room much better this time. It looks like there may have been recent renovations. We made sure we got a room with two queen beds. One of the queen beds was on the floor like normal bed. The other bed was a hold down bed, that, when up, has a table.

    This was our first time at Movies and we enjoyed our stay! Room - We were in the love bug section which is a short walk from the main area. Loved the room! It must be a recently refurbished one as everything looked new and fresh. Good sized fridge, lots of coffee/tea, huge tv, clean and modern. I love the theming of the value resorts and Movies was no different. We didn’t use the pool but it was large and liked the Mickey sprouting water. Food - typical eats. Expensive but that’s Disney. Liked that they provide microwaves and toasters to use for leftovers. No issues with catching buses. Check in was a little off- it seemed like the staff member checking us in wasn’t very knowledgeable so I was a bit frustrated. Not not our usual smooth Disney check in.

    This hotel far exceeded my expectations! It was well themed and the recently redone rooms seemed fitting for much more expensive hotels. The beds were also incredibly comfortable. The only real issue is the bus transportation, particularly if you're trying to make rope drop. The expected times listed were unreliable and overall the whole process just took a long time. That being said, this issue is not specific to this resort but rather the bus system as a whole and I'm not sure how the hotel could mitigate it. Overall, I would definitely stay here again!
