    I went a few years ago and I loved it. The food was amazing, the rooms were always clean and what can I say about the beach? Was fabulous. A light blue sea next to white sand, I was fascinated! I would love to come back and visit Saona Island

    On arrival looks great. Gardens are amazing but rooms very old needs a refurbishment. Food was ok not amazing but you would not go hungry. Booking restaurants ok but repetitive Indian was awful. Drinks not good not enough information as to what you can have.and also other hotels are in the same complex and was refused s drink as we wasnt from that hotel its very confusing!! Everything is about tipping which we didnt mind as all the staff work hard and long hours for little money. If you give them a couple of dollars they will look after you .the men thst drive the little buggy which takes you around complex are very miserable and loose out on tips .all in all an enjoyable stay but definitely not 5 star and too big next time i would look for a more smaller hotel where you can get a drink or food from anywhere. Can I say hi to Jose in the restaurant you work so hard my friend .

    Nice beaches, clean property, lot of nice staff, enough food the whole day. You get around by trains they bring you from lobby to beach whole day. Everywhere there are disinfection gel bottles. Rooms getting older but ok and clean. Satellite TV, WIFI works Some issues to be fixed 1) staff lots of time busy with each other. 2) Food 90% almost cold. We waited for new servings to get it hot. 3) Restaurants to book for Europe poor except for teppanyaki restaurant. Difference in chef makes it. We do not like a loud environment so the screaming chef is passe. Food was good and warm)))). Al-a-cart skip because food was poor. Sushi you hardly can call sushi. 3) People occupying the beds from 07.00 in the morning with towels at the beach or pool. Later you only see chairs with towels and no people till later that day. I would put staff in place to control this from early in the morning and remove towels.... you do this once and problem is solved forever. 4) Loud music in pool and even sometimes at beaches is really disturbing. We are there to hear the sea and enjoy our rest. Beside that the kind of music is so individual that it is kind of not okay to make everybody listen to it. So we went far away from the noise. 5) Check in late was slow and we got not really informed how the system works. We had to find out ourselves. Would be nice to get short but useful directions and information. Even at the room you will find no info about the property. Average we where happy with our stay.

    After a long flight from England we arrived at our hotel .check in was slow but our room was ready .we had asked for a lower room and near to restaurants as my husband is disabled and can not climb stairs.there are two pools which were clean only complaint about that towels had to be collected from the main pool.food was terrible and repetitive.resturant staff not many spoke English and could not understand what you were speaking about always ready for you to tip them every time.the baggage boys were helpful and drove us to the pharmacy to get some cream for the mosquito bites.thenshows at night were very basic and lasted about an hour.while on my holiday we had problems with our room first the phone never worked while we were there reporting it every day .electric went off while we were using shower.lights on wall didn’t work.the cleaner for our room was poor and never finished room leaving bed not finished pillows scattered on bed settee next to window.bath didn’t look like it had been cleaned while we were there.we found this hotel is to large and not suitable for disabled people as things are to far apart and we had to borrow a wheel chair to push my husband around the site.we will not been visiting this hotel again.

    We visited Mar. 3 - 10. Very easy and quick registration, freindly and efficient staff, lots of food to choose from, beautiful beach with lots of lounge chairs. Our room was spacious and clean. It is a very large resort but carts are always available to take you where you need to go.
