Returning after 3 years and Grotto Bay was again a delight. Just minutes from the airport but that’s not an intrusion at all. The rooms are now cool and contemporary all with the same fabulous view. The chickens and 4 cute cats still potter around. Don’t underestimate the steps up & down to the beach & pool but it helped walk off the wonderful food & generously served drinks. Staff were helpful, pleasant & accommodating. We did AI for half our weeks stay. Worth it if you’re drinking & using the buses. There are other options close by. Swizzle Inn especially. The breakfast coffee shop set up in the bar area each morning provided excellent value bagels, muffins etc for days when we weren’t on the AI plan & didn’t fancy a big breakfast. Plenty of beds at the beach & pool in mid September but no doubt busier with families during school holidays. This is a very pleasant, unpretentious resort hotel offering great value on an expensive island.

From the staff being so friendly and helpful, the food was amazing. Great quiet beach, my wife loved the spa..Wish I had time to use the kayaks and paddle boards. I will be coming back. Easy to take a bus to visit the rest of the island. The bus picks you up right outside the property.

Perfect location between Hamilton and St. George. Beautiful beach and pool. Newly refurbished rooms. Three great restaurants. Friendly and accommodating staff. Could not ask for more. All inclusive rate is quite a bargain considering land costs in Bermuda. Did all inclusive 5 of our 8 day stay. Would rate all meals breakfast, lunch, and dinner as very good to excellent. Perfect location for bus travel.

My husband and i went to Grotto Bay for the second time this year and it just felt like coming home. 90 minutes from hectic and dirty NYC to the most beautiful vacation spot in the world. I felt genuinely welcomed and was happy to see some familiar faces. Especially Liviu, he took care of us from the first minute. The food is very good at both Restaurants, the rooms are quaint and have everything you need. If you like a quiet, peaceful time at the beach, good dinner with amazing service and maybe a late swim in an empty pool, Grotto Bay is the place to go. It has a farm like feeling with lots of charme, cats walking around and the staff feels like family immediately. Ias i don’t like surprises and big party when I’m on vacation, this was perfect for me. As i exited the airport (very cute too) i felt the stress falling off me and 20 minutes later i was at the beach. I’m hoping to go back there again next year ??????

Spent a week at the Grotto Bay Beach Resort and overall it was amazing. The ride from the airport is extremely short. Room was not ready till 15:00 but we were able to use the restaurant and go sit on the beach in the meantime. Make sure to pack a bathing suit in your carry on if you are arriving before 15:00. We had asked if possible to get a room with a view as we were celebrating our honeymoon but unfortunately we got a ground floor unit that had a hole in the shower wall with a cockroach and other bugs inside… The shower handle kept getting stuck as well and water pressure from tap was barely running. After bringing this up to service desk we ended up changing rooms, unfortunately they were booked solid so we had to change from a king to two doubles but a better view. No complaints about this room. The food is amazing, not a single complaint, nothing we ate was bland, I made an effort to try all the fish dishes and it was all delicious. If you go with the all inclusive option, you will not be disappointed. Unless you spend on missing more than a meal a day off resort then it doesn’t make sense not to get it. A meal for two with an entrée, main and dessert with a drink would usually average around 160 US, x3 + drinks and you are almost spending 500-600$ a day when all inclusive cost you 228… The resort is gorgeous; the pool is fine but the beach is where you want to spend your time. The water is dead calm, the snorkeling near the gazebo is the best I’ve seen with thousands of fish, there is also a shipwreck within a minute swim from the shore that is very cool. The inflatable play structure on the water is very fun. With the all inclusive option you get free rental of all water equipment which was well worth it, the caves are also very nice, especially on a hot day. We rented an electric bicycle one day from across the road (have to call the company first as they have trailer across the road and will meet you at the resort) and toured most the north shore on trail/road. Very fun as long as you don’t mind driving on the road. We also rented an electric vehicle from down the road as well, make sure to rent a twizee and not another brand as we got stuck with a vehicle that had a regular 110-volt cable which can be problematic as most business have special plugs that are bigger. Overall, great trip, we’ve visited Cuba, Mexico, Dominican, Jamaica and Bermuda tops it all…
