A experience of relaxation! The rooms were very comfortable and large with a small refridgerator stocked with soda, beer, water and sweets. The workers were polite and very outgoing. The food was great and we ate at a different location at every meal. The walk to the beach was long but that only meant you were close to the pools and children's play area's. More international based with people from many different countries. I had a fun time playing beach vollyball with guest representing at least 5 nations. The entertainment staff of Raul, Ani, and Augustine made time enjoyable but the need to practice their vollyball "service" lol! Adults from the family were also welcome on the Adult's only side!

Beautiful hotel and beach, but not ideal for teens

This brand new hotel has great potential. The design is stunning, its located on one of the best beaches in Mexico, and the food is good. In some areas the service was excellent. However, we visited with our 12 and 13 year old daughters, and while they enjoyed themselves, this is not really the best hotel for teens. There were several service and communication bugs, which were compounded by the hotel being short-staffed over Christmas. We found this side of the hotel to simply be boring at night - the only entertainment was one ping pong table Also the restaurants on the Estudio side were all lit up like bright surgical rooms that completely lacked any ambiance (although food and service were good). The Atelier side has a strict no entry for anyone under the age of 16, so our girls were mostly left with an experience that seems like it is designed for families with three year olds. For the first time at an all-inclusive, we were itching to get out at night and mostly enjoyed our evenings by leaving the hotel. The staff at the hotel tried hard, but, little things lacked coordination - stuff like refilling coffee pods but not replacing the mugs, saying that they would call a taxi but not following up. The folks who run sailing and water-sports on the beach were not there half the time and didn't have enough boats to meet demand. Without kids, we would visit Atelier in a heartbeat, but we're not coming to Estudio again.

We had a wonderful 10-night stay at Estudio in mid-December. There were many highlights, some of which I will list below. Given that the resort has only been operating for a few months, there were also some matters that need to be addressed over time. The two differentiators for this resort (along with the Atelier sister resort, which can be accessed by adult Estudio guests only) are the outstanding quality of the food and the staff. We have stayed at many of the top all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean, and in our experience the food at the Estudio and at Atelier is second to none. Each of the à la carte restaurants offered meals of excellent quality, with great presentation and service. We most especially enjoyed the Italian restaurant on the Estudio side of the complex, and the wonderful service offered at dinner by Nestor (who even made all of my menu selections for me one evening), as well as by Fernando at lunch, and by hostess Luz. Do not pass up the beef steak on the lunch menu here … it is truly amazing! We were also very impressed that the resort’s Executive Chef Jose Mejia had a very strong presence with his staff and with the guests; he asked us several times throughout the week how we were enjoying our stay and the food. In fact, all of the staff here was extremely attentive and committed to meeting guests’ needs, including most notably Sergio, a wonderful server at the Suspiro seafood restaurant. Our junior suite room was very spacious, with great amenities, a very comfortable mattress and an unbelievably nice bathroom. Areas for improvement include: - the activities schedule … several times we were given conflicting information (between what was posted on the TV screens, what was listed on the Atelier app and what was communicated by the concierges); we also showed up after lengthy walks to get to a few activities that ended up not being held as scheduled; - the quantity and quality of the evening entertainment was several notches below what is offered at most other all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean … hopefully, this will be addressed as occupancy rates increase; - the pools at both complexes are amazing; however, both were very cool and the adjacent “hot tub” had no working heater, so it was also very cool; - there are stair and handrail safety issues in several locations, both on some stairwells and for pool entry and exit. On balance, given that we were there to have a quiet and relaxing vacation with great food, we found Estudio to be a very nice resort.

We had a lovely time at this resort. The staff are very friendly and resort is so clean and the rooms are beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay and so did our teenage kids. The only drawback was the gym is at the Atelier (adults only) resort and kids under 16 are not allowed there. The food was great and we enjoyed the fresh smoothies and juices at the cafe near the gym.

I do not always write reviews as most places I go to are exactly what I expected and never over preform. However, Estudio was way beyond my expectations Staff All staff I encountered were friendly and helpful even the grounds and maintenance staff. The Kids Club staff are super friendly and patient with kids and parents. My son loved going into the centre to do the crafts and play with toys. And mind you they have some awesome toys like Dash the Robot! All the restaurant staff are amazing and even stop to entertain our strange requests and teach us a bit of Spanish upon our request! The nightly entertainment for kids is great! Jorge tries his best to keep kids engaged but I think the hotel itself lacks a centre stage to put on elaborate nightly shows like other venues. Edwardo was very friendly and good with my kids. He even got me to get off my chair and have some fun with pool aerobics which I enjoyed. Food: Breakfast buffet is amazing! The quesadilla in the morning are great! I would fill up on them. The lady who makes them fresh is a super sweet lady too! Breakfast also has typical breakfast food and lost of fresh fruits, smoothies and sorts. Lunch was best at the Bikini cafe. Victor is great server and provides good recommendations for experimenting with drinks. We always got guacamole and chips to eat while we waited for our food. You can have food from the restaurant poolside too. Carols was quick and fast at bringing us drinks and food whenever we chose to stay poolside. Dinner is an issue. This hotel does not have a dinner buffet which I prefer. The place they serve breakfast would make a good dinner place!! The available options are decent. Room service food I thought was a better option and more relaxed as after a hot shower I could relax in bed and eat. The sushi place was good. Im not a fan of sushi but even I like it. The seafood place had good food but the atmosphere was horrible because of the mosquitos and though the staff provided free mosquito repellent it did not work. Luckily I had my OFF brand stuff from home. Rooms Great! Clean spacious and enough storage space for clothes. Big soaker tub, walk in shower and separate toilet. Resort Clean, big beautiful!! The staff are always going around cleaning and maintaining the property Checkin Easy smooth. Valeria was kind and knew her stuff. All in all this hotel is amazing for a fun, relaxing holiday with the family. There is no rowdiness or foolishness that makes it hard for little kids to enjoy the resort. I did venture over to the adult side and honestly did not find a big loss of not being there. The staff are equally friendly. I talked to the lady at the Art Show for a while and learned alot! I would definitely come back next year!
