We booked this w Jet Blue vacations for our stay feb 17-22, 2019. No greeting or welcome as we have had with most hotel/resorts. Waited 20 minutes before being helped at front desk, (only 1 receptionist). After a day of travel, the last thing you want to do is wait on another line. We then waited for a concierge to show us to our room but nobody showed, finally the porter w our luggage showed us around and to our rooms. Beautiful spacious modern room and furniture w great layout and outdoor jacuzzi. In our room, hasty or sloppy caulk and finishes were noticeable, not a big deal to us. King size bed super comfortable. Pools and beach were awesome. Bring closed straws thermos if you plan on doing pool drinking. A little seaweed in the sea but depends on the day and current. Food was very good wherever we went. Unfortunately w a child, we found it difficult to navigate the restaurant booking system. For some restaurants there was a first come first serve but then it would be booked until 9 or so. It seems to cater to club members who can have their concierge "book" restaurants for them while everyone else gets "steered" to the buffet. And it wasn't even close to capacity at the resort. Also at the time it seems they were understaffed. Special shout out to Dulce, who served poolside for us, but also at the restaurants and the main bar evenings. She was the hardest working gal in the club. The wines were just ok (we're moderate oenophiles), liquors offerings a bit better. My son enjoyed the kids club and made some friends with kids around his age. Special shout out to Andy and Abby who were really great with the kids. Also shout out to the gentleman at the smoothie/dessert bar whose name eludes me but was very nice with our son and you could tell he had kids of his own. Overall we were very happy with our trip and would love to come back with some friends. It was our last international trip and we feel fortunate to have gone. Best wishes to the Majestic, and if you are going or planning on going, you will be have a wonderful time.

Wonderful experience! I was at first skeptical to visit Mexico during the pandemic, but when I saw the measures that the people in Mexico have taken to ensure the safety of visitors, my fears were alleviated. Checking in was easy and all of the workers are very helpful and attentive to their guests. Because of COVID19, we didn’t anticipate too much, but management and the workers did everything they could to make our stay worth it. Do not expect everything to be perfect; after all, this is a pandemic and new reality that we are living in. Dinner service was slow for our first two nights, but when my wife voiced her concern about this to concierge, Catalina and Gerardo from guest service did everything in their ability to make our remaining stay significantly better, and dinner came out significantly faster thereafter. I was concerned that since there was not that many children at the resort, that my son would not enjoy himself. Diana and Andrea at the kids club proved me wrong. For those who were wondering if the resort is family friendly, do not worry - these two ladies will make their stay very well worth it. They have kept my son thoroughly entertained for the entire week... so much so that my son would rather spend the day at the kids club rather than with me and his mother. They’ve put in a lot of hard work, love and care for Noah, and even if he was the only kid at the club at times, he never felt bored or alone. It’s a shame we didn’t get to take our teenage daughters with us, but we’ll be doing so next time. Special thanks to Catalina, Gerardo, Andrea and Diana for making our experience very well worth it! Also, special commendation to the rest of the staff. They are all very hard workers who juggle multiple tasks and do everything that they can to make you feel pampered and welcomed. They made us feel like not just guests, but like family at the resort. I’m already looking for dates to return.

First and foremost, I want to express how much we love the Majestic chain and will continue to be loyal to them. We usually go to Punta Cana (over the past 10 years; however, due to Covid our trip was cancelled twice. We knew we wanted to go somewhere for our anniversary, but the resorts were not opening until Oct 30th in Punta Cana. Since we are comfortable with an love the Majestic chain, and knowing the chain opened a new resort in Mexico we thought we would give it a try. I need to also mention they had just experienced a hurricane 2 days before. Check in was smooth and we were upgraded to an Ocean front suite. The room was just lovely and we could not have not been more pleased. The room was large and had two separate areas, one where the bed and master bath area was and the other a living area with another 1/2 bath. The balcony (stunning view) had a nice lounge sofa and a 2 person hot tub for our enjoyment. The food was fairly good at the resort, but sometimes a hit miss depending on where we ate. They only had two options per day to choose from because he resort had just reopened and due to Covid. I really think hey should have had the buffet open to reach all pallets and then maybe one of the restaurants per day. Nonetheless, the food was decent for he most part. The beach was nice, but we prefer Punta Cana's beaches over the beach here. There were some burrs int he sand so you had to be cautious when walking and there were some shells, these are not seen in Punta Cana. Now this could have been because of the hurricane, so if we decide to return, I will post another review. The entertainment was definitely lacking. There was really zero entertainment provided until he last 2 nights we were there, so it was kind of boring once dinner was done. Se made he best of it with walks and enjoying the amenities of our room. Cindy and Brandon on the entertainment staff were jsut wonderful and tried to do some things during the day such as exercise int he pool, volley ball, and bingo. It was clear the resort was very understaffed, so we totally understand why they could only do so much! The service was really good. As previously stated it was obvious the resort was very understaffed. I do believe management was trying and it did get better towards the end of the trip. Eduardo, the Club Manager was out and about checking on guests and frequently greeted us and asked how things were going (nice touch). We were open and honest with him, and I do feel it made a bit of a difference. All f the staff were very attentive. The staff that stood out to us were Carlos, Angel, and Abigail (club pool bar), Jose and Alfonso (pool and beach concierge), Jonatan (main bar), and Pedro and Fidel at the Masa breakfast buffet. A big shout out to ur butler Gustavo, you definitely made our experience more memorable for us, thank you! He decorated our room for our anniversary and even had special notes about our relationship with the decorations (nice touch). Our anniversary was OK, other than Gustavo going above and beyond in our room, there really was not attention. I guess we are jsut not used to that because we are always catered to in Punta Cana for our anniversary 9 and well fi I am totally honest- they always cater to us in Punta regardless of when we visit- likely because we have been there so much)). This was a bit disappointing and my husband did mention this to management. In all fairness, management did make it right in the end and provided us with a lovely romantic dinner on the rooftop. The food was delicious and the setting was phenomenal!! Thank you! All in all it was a nice trip but the resort is clearly working through some things (hence 4 stars instead of 5 stars). This will take some time since it is so new and they are dealing with Covid. Should we return I am certain things will have improved with the areas in need of attention. We will continue to support our Majestic family and absolutely love this chain an the people! We will hopefully return to Punta in May of 2021,and who knows, we may even make another visit to Costa Mujeres!

The ride from the airport is about 30-45 minutes. The resort is beautiful. We had a wonderful ocean front room with an amazing view of the beach. Our room was so big and very nice. The food was ok, expected a little more upscale. We ordered room service one evening after being out on a catamaran all day and it took almost 2 hours to get to us. The dishes were still in the "magic box" the next morning at 10:00 a.m. We stayed in the pool all afternoon on of our days and it was very relaxing. There are two sides of the resort, one adults only (which is where we stayed) and one for families with children. We also went to the spa at the resort and it was amazing. We were taken care of very well by (I didn't get her name) one of the staff. All in all we would do an all inclusive again as opposed to cruising(which we do all the time) but probably at another resort.
