Greatest experience at a hotel

My family loved it here so much were coming back in August. Everyone was nice and helpful throughout the hotel. Donovan our waiter at tamarindo the Mexican restaurant made our stay personal and he was the best one of the main reasons we will return. As well I’ll be having more of my family coming to stay here. If I travel we will look for the sister properties. Next time I can get on the loyalty program because I think imma visit here every year now

1. This was literally one of the best vacations of my life, and I’ve been on many. 2. Staff is the best part of this resort! From the minute we walked onto the grounds everyone was extremely kind, helpful and extremely happy to see me! I would like to applaud Luis at the beach for the hardest working employee I had seen there. He was always more than ready to get us a drink or bite to eat. Rafael at Paramour restaurant was very professional and courteous. Edwin was the life of the party, very enthusiastic, fun and made me feel like I was his best friend. Francisco was the first to greet us with welcome home and last to say adios and see you soon... this left a lasting impression. Abel at the concierge desk helped me anything I needed and was so nice about it. These employees are top notch! I don’t remember all their names but everyone was so wonderful! 3. The only not so great part was check in. The reception lady was very nice, but hard to hear her with her mask and plexi-glass, not her fault. After check in, someone was right there to escort us to Angel who was an employee of the AM Star company who tried to sell me into looking at other properties for a membership. This was the ONLY unpleasant experience I had at the resort. It was pretty shady the way I was escorted to him and not told why I was sitting and talking to him. I thought I was being brought to my luggage so we can changed for the beach. I told him I wasn’t interested in seeing the other resorts and he kept at it. i had to deal with him for 1/2 hour and was such a waste of everyone’s time. He said to me “ I have to do this, this is my job”! I’m very unhappy AM Star makes their employees aggravate new guests just as they walk in! Seriously not the way to conduct a good business. After I explained to Angel I had NO INTEREST in looking at the properties and I would like to start and enjoy my vacation, he left me alone! He also promised us drinks while we waited in the humid lobby for 20 minutes and never delivered. 4. Don’t let number three stop you from coming to this resort, just tell them no at check in. Wish I had this advise prior to my check in. I think they may target certain people based on their appearance and think they are easy targets. Not me! 5. After the check in shenanigans, everything was so smooth and lovely, food was 4/5, room was 3/5 due to outdated decor, drinks 4/5, service and staff 5+/5, grounds, pool and views 5/5!

I teetered between 3/4 stars but ultimate will give 4 stars for amazing service. Everyone who works at Now Emerald really works hard and they care. Yolanda at the pool was amazing and Marco at the Mexican restaurant was a huge sweetheart. Yes the resort is dated but it’s on the south end of Cancun away from all the riff raff. The $1 red bus took us to town but I liked that this place wasn’t a big scene. People had fun. But nothing inappropriate. Our stay was great and the Covid-19 measures they took went above and beyond. Thank you for a great stay!

The best thing in this Hotel definitely is the staff! Specially the waiters. They work so hard, and even tired they are so kind and friendly! Special thanks to Vanessa ( Moments Bar/Coco Cafe), Cesar, Miguel, Carlos and Yosmar (Carnivale Buffet) and Josue (Reef Bar): They made our vacation even better!!! About the hotel: It needs a renovation ASAP. The toilets flushing doesn't work properly (we need to change to another room because of that and the second room wasn't work properly as well), the rooms has a strong mold smell and the furniture is really outdated. Also you can see some small broken things in the room. Poor maintenance. About the food: I'm pretty sure that the cookers are doing their best, but probably because is an all inclusive, they need to "recycle" the food to cut the costs. Specially at the buffet the food seems leftovers. The others restaurants the food is just okay. I would return only to see the amazing staff that deserves a grade A++!!!

If you are looking for an all inclusive hotel in Cancun this is definitely the place. The hotel is gorgeous, massive and clean. Covid precautions are taken seriously and there is amazing entertainment every night. The staff had to be the most lively and welcoming group of people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting in a vacation setting. My friends and I were well taken care of and treated like family. Our last day was such a bittersweet feeling, we met the most amazing individual named Armando who was our bartender at the bar located on the first floor by the spa. Going to see Armando between activities during our stay quickly became apart of our routine. He was the sweetest man, one day during my stay I had a little too much to drink the night before and was unable to enjoy my activities the following day, when my friends went to see Armando that morning before leaving for their excursion he told them he had a miracle cure for me and to tell me to come see him when I could. Needless to say the “Armando special” (as I call it) perked me right up, calmed my stomach and had me ready to enjoy the rest of my time in paradise. The people at Now Emerald truly are a special bunch and I hope to see them all again on my next visit!
