We came here for a 7 day family vacation. We paid for a 2b 2b suit. Pay attention that they only clean every other day and even then it’s only Change of towels and tack the beds. However on the fourth night they are supposed to clean everything!! We came back to the room. The balcony was still cover with pigeon’s poop all the showers were covered with the same sand that was there before no one cleaned any of the showers! After going down to the reception and yelling at them they send another crew to clean. The pictures that I attended are after the second round of cleaning, including how they threw their dirty towels on our stuff (shoes). Not to mention that on the day we checked in we had to call them to clean the carpets which were covered with dirty lint. Not to mention dirty blankets barley covered with sheets! I will not come back here, it’s obvious they don’t clean properly I’m afraid to find out how well they clean in between guests. I always carry disinfecting wipes and made sure to cover all the important places before using them

    Best vacation stay ever

We stayed here for one week as part of a two week family trip to Hawaiii in 2018. This is without a doubt the best resorts that we have ever stayed at. The overall experience was top notch without a single complaint. The accommodation, food, grounds, pools, beach, and everything in between was fantastic. I can only hope to go back at some point with the family.

Super nice but more for families with kids

Super nice rooms great The staff is kind and courteous the facility is clean but this hotel I believe is direct for families and family oriented so it’s not that fun and Maui maybe it’s not my favorite vacation destination I prefer Thailand and if you’re going to spend the money to come here get on a plane and go to krabi You can bring your kids there anyways all in all I give it four stars the beach it’s so so

We stayed in an ocean view studio suite. Room #731. It had a great ocean view and nice layout with everything you need. Bed was OK, not great, not bad. Furniture was stained and carpet was worn. In need of a update within the next year or two. Bring your own toilette paper, there’s is junk. Also they provide you with laundry detergent, I suggest you bring your own as there’s smells like bug spray. They did provide us with bounce softener sheets. What I didn’t like is they provide you with house cleaning every other day. They never stated that every other day they only bring you clean towels and Make the bed. They only change sheets every 4th day along with cleaning your room. I was very disappointed with that. They also need to put signs in the garage as to what door goes to what building, so confusing. I would suggest not buying the breakfast vouchers as there’s not to much to choose from. There’s a market/gift shop down stairs that provides with many items but be-aware, dairy products in Maui are expensive. I would venture across the street as there’s a nice market there with better prices than Safeway. All in all it’s a Beautiful resort with a nice beach, and well manicured grounds, but little things like filthy elevators, dirty windows in hallways, and room needing to be updated just turned me off a bit for the money I paid. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great family place. Just needs some updating and better room service.

So I found quite a few things wrong with the suite. I enjoyed my stay and didn’t want to be bothered by incompetent building engineers so I waited until now to voice my concerns Honua kai does not run their air conditioning in the evening . On the 10th floor it’s about 80 degrees. They started doing a trash chute repair during the second week of my stay and I could smell the garbage as soon as I opened my suite door and entered the hall. Their plan was to have everyone pile their trash up in the trash room and not run the air at night. Brilliant combination. Speaking of the trash room, I didn’t see the floor mopped once. It was disgusting. My shoes would stick to the floor every time i walked in there. The windows in the elevator lobby were filthy. I understand there’s construction going on but still, clean the windows. The printer at the kiosk is running windows 7. It is an ancient computer and only runs boarding pass printing software The towel kiosk smells like mildew The whole establishment just comes off as extremely cheap, and when I’m paying over $1000 a night I expect competent employees, which were lacking, and some semblance of cleanliness. Now let’s get to suite 1025 The frugality continues here unfortunately No pizza cutter 2 Filthy old pizza trays Toilet paper holder in hall bathroom loose Non dimmable cfl bulbs in chandelier, on dimmer switch Different color mr16 bulbs in hall bathroom lights and other lights in the suite Suite has likely never been properly cleaned. Hand prints on lanai doors Storage basket on lanai not cleaned, random junk inside Cooler bag leaks and is damaged Linens -comforters, extra pillow cases, duvets very likely barely washed Toilets run sometimes for hours Island sink faucet does not work properly.-Shakes and makes noise when water is turned on Gasket at bottom of shower door in master bathroom is broken and makes a pop every time it’s opened Master bathroom shower has mold all over ceiling drywall. Mold on shower heads and in tile grout. For the money I spent, these things are unacceptable, especially the mold A real cleaning crew needs to come in there and properly clean and take all linens to a laundry mat. Have a rotation of duvets and linens instead of depending on guests to wash them. The mold needs to go. Cut the drywall out of the bathroom and replace it. I don’t believe I’m the first one to notice this or complain about it. The sink needs to be fixed. It’s not supposed to do that. I have photos and videos of all these things if you’d like to see for yourself Again, I didn’t want to be bothered by anyone for my vacation, so I didn’t say anything while I was there. I stayed in room 629 and we had a toilet that sounded like a freight train was coming through the suite after you flushed it. Engineering was completely useless and incompetent and I had to give them free reign to enter my suite if no one answered. That’s one of the reasons why I didn’t bring these things up during my stay. The suite is great but for someone who paid 3 million dollars for it you would think they would take pride in their suite and try to maintain it.
