Not a good experience for our first time in Vegas

I NEVER post reviews of hotels we’ve visited but often rely on other travellers opinions prior to booking so I thought I would review our most recent stay at Bally’s and offer some advice to anyone considering a stay here. Bally’s is a pretty average hotel. Needs renovations-the room we stayed in was very outdated, but there was nothing “wrong” with it. It was clean enough though the comforter that was covered by a top and bottom sheet had stains on it. Aside from the room, we found the Casino environment to be pretty outdated and below average. Not a lively environment and quite smoky. We visited Paris, which was attached, and were way more impressed by this hotel than Bally’s. Also, the pool was cold (plenty of loungers available though) and the drinks were SO expensive. We didn’t find the staff did anything whatsoever to make us feel valued and for me, this is a nice touch by any business. If i could give one BIG helpful piece of advice, I would tell everyone to AVOID THE PEOPLE AT THE ENTRANCES HOUNDING YOU TO GET FREE SHOW TICKETS because you will fall victim to a timeshare presentation and end up wasting several hours of your day. No amount of money or discounted tickets they offer you will be worth the amount of time you’ll spend at this presentation and the extreme amount of sales pressure you’ll endure following it. My husband and I, inexperienced travellers, thought getting free Cirque du Soleil tickets and dining vouchers would be worth the 2 hrs they said we’d be committing by going but this turned into almost 6 hours out of our day and us almost making the biggest mistake of our lives and committing to a timeshare we NEVER once thought we needed. I’m upset that we fell for the scam and lost time out of our 4 day vacay but if I can prevent anyone from falling victim to it, I will. Bally’s shouldn’t employ people who immediately jump on you as soon as you enter the hotel and rope you into a timeshare presentation. We had no idea what we were committing to and I’m still angry that we fell for it. When people pay a lot of money to stay at your hotel, you should treat them better and not allow them to be pressured and fooled by a timeshare scheme that will rob you of hours out of your short stay. Honestly, for this reason alone, I would never recommend this hotel and hope they lose business because of the pushy sales people that harass you every time you walk by an entrance to their hotel. Paris was beautiful and central if you’re looking for that feature. New York New York was also really cool and fun but wasn’t centrally located but still on the strip.

I requested Early Check In at the hotel kiosk. It was available, so I took it. Apparently they allot the undesirable rooms for this. North side facing room, very noisy, demolition, jack hammers, garbage pick-up, all starting very early in the morning (5:00 - 6:00 ). Also, taxi horns blowing in the pickup area right below. Night and day. The large Bally's Marque sign blasts out bass thumping promo music that is so loud that I was unable to sleep, until it finally stopped about 3 A.M. I understand that's not late for Vegas, but after a very long travel day, it was a bad night for me. I like the location, and would maybe stay there again if was assured a room on the south facing part of the hotel in the Jubilee Tower. Other than that, the hotel was fine. Great access to the Las Vegas Monorail. I used it a lot.

    Great slot bars.

It's always great staying at Bally's. Love the location and rooms. Would like more sports bars but that's just me. I stayed there for my wedding anniversary and it is perfect for that. My husband love the tables there and I love the bar slots with my FAVORITE bartender PO making his signature Po'Verts!

My husband and I stayed 10/6-10/11. We upgraded our room to the Resorts Tower king suite for $150. Totally worth the money. Our view was of the High Roller, but we could also see part of the strip. The room was both modern and elegant. Our housekeeper Yolanda is a doll. She made sure I had everything I needed, and was so pleasant.

Room was great no complaints The only thing we did not like is when we visited the pool area and wanted a drink 32.00 for 2 drinks is out of this world . Another friend stopped by to visit and bought a beer and it was 8.00 again too much and the coffee in the main lobby was 6.00 for a medium should be half that price
