Where do I start? My room in the south tower (10513) was okay. After reading the description of the rooms, I was expecting a remodeled room, well, it was - maybe ten years ago. ;-( It had the shower with just a third panel of glass from the ceiling to floor that was non-moving. Pretty but since the partition was butted up to the wall, I had to reach in from the center of the opening just to turn the shower on and you know the first water out of the showerhead is COLD!! During the virus epidemic, there was no housekeeping during your stay, which in a way was nice. I could go to the room anytime I wanted to without being disturbed. I did run out of coffee but a call to housekeeping and they came up with more coffee for me. I didn't have clean sheets / towels / etc. daily but who does that at home. No problem. The room was basically clean. My only complaint there was at the base of the shower. Along the base of the shower was slight discoloration. Mold? I don't think so, it looked more like rust? Whatever it was, some bleach on it would have made it look a lot cleaner. Restaurants - You had to plan when you wanted to eat. Due to the virus, their hours fluctuated. Food (I just ate at the Beach Café) was ok. I did get a Cinnabon roll from their booth in the food court. They are always good! Casino - Okay, first impression excellent. Our temperature was taken before we boarded the plane and after landing before we could check into our room. But guess what - then I wasn't impressed. People that were walking into the hotel / casino - did they have their temperature taken - no. They just needed to be wearing a mask. Did I see the machines being cleaned - no. I went to Riverside Resort / Casino one day. They were constantly cleaning their machines. Slots - okay now I'm sad, not a lot of fun there. Every once in ten + machines I found one that let me have fun either with the special features or a bonus. But the bonus wasn't all that great. Line hits sometimes were better. Even though there are a lot of machines, there weren't a lot of newer ones like Tarzan, Griffon's Throne, Heidi's Bier Haus, and others. I got bored quickly. I don't normally go to Harrah's but it was the only one that had air charters available. So, go have fun, just don't expect to break even. LOL

Harrah's Laughlin is a little shabby--worn furniture. And, for whatever reason, no valets, bellhops, no luggage carts. Las Vegas has all of these, why not Laughlin? Wheelchairs are available so why aren't luggage carts? We had to haul our luggage from the car, pull open the heavy door and then get it to our rooms. There are only 4 elevators, 4 people per elevator, so often there is a line of people waiting to get up stairs. Since we were using a house wheelchair, we used it to bring our bags down. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms and good towels but very few food options: the only food available was the food court and the high end steak restaurant; no cafe, no buffet. We stayed one night, on July 18, any longer would have been too long. We wear masks as a matter of course but not everyone else does.

This is going to be a long and scathing review so I hope it reaches someone who can make changes there. Been going there for about 30 years (or more) when it was the nicest hotel & resort in Laughlin. NOW it's a DUMP! The beach is crowded w/ locals so there's no room for the guests to use it. Made rezies for 4th of July wk-end, intending to eat in the Range restaurant, etc and stay put b/c of Covid. Restaurant closed to private party on the 4th, but noone bothered to tell us, Tried to call VIP hosts from the time we arrived on the 3rd in the AM, but never a returned call. Tried for 2 days. Had been to the Harrahs Casino in Cherokee and expected the same careful 'protocol' for Covid, but instead they were allowing huge families of people in the front door, thru the lobby...out to the beach and pool, with massive amounts of picnic & water toys, etc. and NOBODY stopped to be checked for fevers, no masks, zilch!! I asked a Security Guard about it and he said they only tested GUESTS ....!! WTH?? I suspect there was a huge surge in COVID contractions after that wk-end in that area. We ended up playing most of the time at another (more careful) casino and I played only in the High Limits Room to try to be somewhat safer. Didn't use the elevators with others as much as possible. Bottom line is we won't be going back there until they get that place together or EVER!!

I’ve been in a few different Harrah’s. This one in Laughlin NV is outdated and dingy. They charge an arm and a leg just for a shady spot on the 100ft stretch of “private” beach they have. Social distancing did NOT exist at the beach or in the water and was not monitored at all. They were too busy policing the size of personal coolers and their contents. The rooms were out dated and just meh. The beds were unreasonably high but dipped down on the edges. No refrigerators no, no microwaves or even coffee makers! Everyone who worked there was nice, especially the woman who checked us in. Sanitizing was non existent. I didn’t see someone wipe down a machine once. The hand sanitizer self serve towers were sometimes empty and a manual pump (not touch less). Food was limited to smash burger, pizza and Cinnabon. Food was meh. We also visited the Aquarius and Golden Nugget. Much nicer places than the Harrahs.

    During COVID

Just came home from Harrah’s in Laughlin. Big mistake to go during the COVID. You must wear a mask at all times even on the pool deck. You must be submerged in the pool (not sitting on the side with your legs in the water) to not wear a mask, and they come by constantly to check. Nothing worse then wearing a mask when the temperature is 117 degrees. They seem to pick and choose the governor’s mandated rules. You can’t bring any outside items at the pool ie umbrella, but you are allowed inflated pool toys which is also against the governor’s rules. We flew to Laughlin out of Mesa Gateway. Our temperature was taken at the airport and again at Harrah’s before we were allowed to check in. If it was over 100.4 we would not have been able to check in. During our 3 day stay they closed the bars per the governor’s mandated rules. Buffet is closed, and the cafe is only open for breakfast until 2:00, then it opens again at 4:00 for grab and go only. The other fast food places hours are erratic. They seem to have a problem with not enough staff during the COVID. It seems that if the people hadn’t arrive via the charter flights, there wouldn’t have been many people there. The river taxi is $5 each way. The all day pass is not available. Also there are only 3 taxis running for all of Laughlin, and UBER does not seem to be available. When we arrived at the airport for departure to come home our temperature was not taken. We figured if we had a temperature we probably caught the virus at Harrah’s or any of the other casinos we visited which would probably mean they would have to shut everything down. My advise is stay home until things get better.
