The stay at this resort was overall fantastic for our Honeymoon. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to whatever request or needs we brought to their attention. There isn't any food served after dinner (9:30PM) so I would suggest grabbing a little something extra if your a late night snacker. There was a small issue with being given the wrong room the first day of our stay but they corrected the issue not by giving me the correct room under our reservation; but upgrading the remainder of our stay to the Master Suite!!! I would definitely stay here again upon my next visit to Costa Rica.

We went back again this year since we had such a great time last November. The first two days were great quiet and basically had the pool to ourselves. The next three days were chaos with outside groups coming for the day. First a large group of young guys who drank all day the other with unsupervised kids screaming from 8-6. We certainly don’t mind kids but this made impossible to use one of the pools. I complained to the manager and he said that these day groups were handed down from head office. I said that was against their mission of quiet and comfortable. He said that was the last. Before booking again I will make sure that there are no day groups booked while we are there.

My wife and I stayed here from Nov. 14-21, 2019. This is good size resort with one restaurant that offers quality meals. There are two pools which offers a 'swim up' bar. We found this place to be a very quiet resort where guests are mostly adults. We were upgraded to the Master Suite(204A) which is very spacious overlooking the Pacific(view are obstructed by matured trees...not an issue to us). The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff is very evident of a good training program they go through. My wife and I also enjoyed our tour of the Arenal Volcano and the day trip to Nicaragua. This is our second time in CR and it's just as good as the first. Thank you to "ALL" the resort staff and special thanks to the restaurant servers and Karol(front desk) as she look for us throughout the resort and help us contact the Air Canada tour rep. I do wish they have a Gym on site.

This is not the wild, party scene, thong-bikini resort. It's a quaint, secluded-feeling, friendly, & nice (though a bit "lower-end") all-inclusive resort. Very clean & easy to get around. The moment you walk up they meet you outside, offer you a fresh cool wet cloth (like business class flights) and bring you a refreshing tropical drink to enjoy while you get checked in- which was an easy, quick and efficient process. The grounds are just a gorgeous paradise and its all kept up beautifully. The young families and Ticos usually enjoy the huge waterfall pool with the upbeat music & swim-up bar. (There are many trees over this pool so it tends to collect leaves) The foreigners (lots of Canadians) and 40yr+ folks usually tend to gather at the large pool with water loungers, tanning decks, serene music, and swim-up &/or walk-up bar. There are zero shade umbrellas, which would be very nice, but there are several shaded spots for lounge chairs. The weird thing is the lounge chairs are in beach sand and there are no sidewalks to get to the pool. You walk across the grass. Both pools have clean bathrooms close and towels available for pool or beach. We carried out our own loungers to the beach but a staff member would do it if you asked. They bring them back in at the end of the day. There is not a wait staff around the pools. To get drinks or food you go to them but it's such a quaint place there's never a big crowd nor long wait. The beach is RIGHT outside the gate so you have an easy, flat walk. (Not a steep hill) It has smooth cocoa-colored sand and clear water to about 5 feet deep. It is easily accessible to the public so during the weekend there are a fair number of Ticos (though not overly crowded at all) about 20-30 feet outside the hedge wall "camping out" with music, hammocks, picnics, and games. A very fun atmosphere and still not annoyingly loud from inside the resort. There were only 2 venders who politely asked if you wanted an item and left you alone if you didn't. ZERO harassment. There are a few fishermen and catamarans there that offer their service for an excursion but again, they do not pressure you at all. They were very respectful. Although Casa Conde could be better staffed as far as quantity, they have very high-quality staff that treat you like royalty. The majority could speak English well enough to communicate just fine. They are all wanting to improve their English and if there was a big enough barrier they would quickly get a coworker to help out. The food was the best we've tasted in our 16 day/3 high-end resorts (in addition to here) visit down the Pacific side of Costa Rica. It's buffet-style but very clean, large variety, and they have a specialty "food-bar" with a different special at each meal which they will bring to your table if you don't want to stand and wait for your specially cooked item. They also have a sit-down restaurant but we didn't eat there so I have no clue about it. We stayed in the least expensive room choice and there is NOT a bad, distant room. They ALL are near and have excellent views! Though our room was a bit dated (the stocked mini-fridge didn't work but they had it fixed by the time we got back from the beach. Our shower didn't drain great but all the people we talked to said theirs drained great & I never requested for them to fix ours) other guests told us the more expensive rooms have been updated and some are huge. (I think close to 1200sf). Our beds were comfortable and there are 4 pillows on each to choose from. The A/C worked great and was easy to set. On TV we found 2 English-speaking channels with good movies. There's a hairdryer (the hotel-attached-to-the-wall type), coffee pot with good coffee, & plenty of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and organic bar soaps. Everywhere we've been in Costa Rica the toilet paper smells like baby powder, Casa Conde is no exception. They'll bring in fresh towels each day and restock the snacks, coffee, and minifridge with water, beer, soft drinks, tea... There are no loud noises at night. The pool closes and 10 and folks just tend to go to bed early here. The sun sets at 5:30pm and rises at 5:30am but the shades and curtains do a great job of keeping the room quite dark. Check out is not until noon so no rushing out or trying to kill time somewhere if you have a later flight out. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay here and would come back again if we're in Guanacaste.
