Excellent snorkel tour - best captain, Juan Carlos!
AJMayne on Mar 23, 2024
Wonderful snorkeling tour right off the beach of our hotel! Captain Juan Carlos was so caring for each member of our group. A mix of couples and families. He was gentle with our son when he was stung by jelly fish and he was gentle with driving over the waves to return when a group member was sea sick. Wonderful tour, two great snorkel spots, yummy snacks and lunch and fabulous views and experience. We highly recommend!!!

-- Introduction -- This was my second visit to Villa Del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto, and my first as an Elite Member. I was thoroughly impressed. Initially, I hesitated to write this review because I appreciated the resort's understated charm and wished to keep it that way. However, I believe in sharing positive experiences to support outstanding establishments, so here we are. Having visited several resorts under the Villa Group umbrella, including Villa Del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto, Villa Valencia in Los Cabos, and Villa Del Palmar in Cancun, I can confidently say that the service at Villa Del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto sets the gold standard. -- The Service -- The staff's dedication to excellence was palpable throughout my stay. The Elite Members Team, specifically Samantha, Lupita, and Ki-Ke (among others), ensured that every reservation, inquiry, and request was handled promptly and to our full satisfaction. Their efforts made my partner and me feel both welcomed and valued. Other notable mentions for exceptional service include: - Casa Mia Restaurant Staff: Bernabe and Abraham provided friendly and exceptional service. - Danzante Restaurant Staff: Jair was excellent with recommendations and crafted a superb banana foster (refer to the picture). - Poolside Service: Daniel and Christofer were both friendly and efficient, always ready to assist with umbrellas and towels. - Martini Class and Mexican Spirits Tasting: Alonso, Victor, and Christian delivered entertaining and insightful classes. - Sabila Spa: Claudia, the masseuse, offered a fantastic massage that left me rejuvenated, especially my neck and shoulders. - Housekeeping: Fabiola, who maintained our one-bedroom suite impeccably, creatively arranged curtains and towels to delight us. -- The Activities -- The resort offers a plethora of activities. While golf might be a primary attraction, the range of amenities and activities is vast: from hiking, kayaking, and paddle boarding, to indulging in spa treatments, participating in mixology classes, and exploring Mexican spirits tastings, there’s something for everyone. On a previous visit, my partner and I enjoyed a snorkel boat tour around the islands, a highly recommended activity. We learned about the UNESCO status of the Islands of Loreto, saw dolphins, and swam with sardines, creating unforgettable memories. -- The Entertainment Team -- The entertainment team was nothing short of spectacular, with performances nearly every night. Highlights included the "Cats" musical and "Fiesta Mexican: The Story of Mexico." An exceptional guitarist, who played hits from the 1950s through the 2000s at Casa Mia and The Market, captivated us with his renditions of Elvis and Johnny Cash songs, among others. -- Some Feedback -- One area for improvement relates to the in-suite fridge and snack offerings. Unlike my experiences in Cancun and Los Cabos, where complimentary drinks and snacks were a given, Loreto’s provision fell short. The convenience of having refreshments and snacks readily available, especially when heading out for an adventure or relaxing by the pool, enhances the overall comfort and experience. -- To Close -- Overall, the experience was wonderful. Villa Del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto is the perfect getaway to unwind and slow down. We are already looking forward to our third visit in October.

The GOOD- The views are beautiful!- Customer Service from Restaurant workers, Cooks and housekeepers excellent! Nice clean and manicure gardens and in general super clean. Food delicious at the Market and the mini bar at the beach and pool . The entertainment group do an excellent job at all the shows and try to keep everybody engaged, We recommend Aladdin so beautiful and fun show! The BAD-Got welcome by a concierge named Shy, and she basically is there to up-sale you tours and SPA services, other than that she won’t follow up any other request and won’t return calls. The bed was on more to the hard side than soft, room was clean but show very dated and basic. Countertops and tile looked back from the 90’s. Tile grout missing and black color in several spots, chips and scratches on wood cabinets . No views of the Ocean nowhere not even of the pool from the room only palm trees. Not a swimming beach or swimming pool available both very shallow to the waist for the pool and at the knees at the beach and have to walk half a kilometer into the water to be able to swim in the beach. Came to Loreto Mexico to eat and be in Mexico and expecting nice boleros, Mariachi, classical Mexican music Never heard it. The WORST- we went by MISTAKE to what they told us an account update- ended up to be a time to FORCED us to sign papers to give up our option to buy at the same price we bought our membership barely 6 months ago. Horrible experience felt mistreated because We did Not shared to sign any thing to give up nothing but they said it was a policy to give it up on first account review or at the end of the first year. We keep telling FREDDY and his supervisor that they never disclosed to us the real purpose of what they called “ account review”before going in to it and it was either buy NOW or give up our original purchase pricing and signing those papers. We got MISTREATED! And took away our rights without knowing that could happen!
Breathtaking scenery.

I had such a good time. This was my first time in Loreto. I have never been here before. The scenery was breathtaking. Definitely worth going if you plan on being around this area. Just remember to wear shoes and follow the guide's instructions. Very safe and fun.

Go here for a relaxing, safe Mexican experience. Staff will treat you like family. Wonderful experiences with Michelle, our concierge, Armando and Chee in activities and Carlos at pool service. Daily activities at the resort. Good food. Spa. Shows. Private beach without vendors, shallow water good for young children, kayaks and stand up paddle boards available. A little difficult to get there because of airlines, but so worth it!
