    It was a wonderful trip went with my wife and our little girl. Food was good, service was exceptional and the staff more than excellent they are the #1 reason we will be back is for people like Nadine- swim up bar Leoni- pelican grill Keaseaction- Cricket grill Da-seana - pelican grill Henry-bartender Tayo- front desk Akim- on the beach Danica and Iesha- kids club entertainment team Thanks to you all (SOON COM BACK) see you soon

    We had an issue when we first got there. At around 10PM our first night the ceiling above the master bed began leaking onto the bed. After about 30 minutes they were able to work it out and moved us to a room above us. We were in the B building and it seems like the building is wearing down a little. Overall the service was really good. There are some amazing employees, some good ones and then indifferent ones. The amazing employees really stand out and make the trip incredible. Jodi-Kay - best bartender we came across. Ask her for a Gin Sour....you won't regret it. Vernon - We asked him by the main pool if they served cheeseburgers there and he said they didn't but "no worries I will take care of it myself." Cheers to Vernon! Chef Ricardo - if you are going to have dinner at Pierside then request Ricardo. He had our table laughing and his food was great. Oshin - she was very nice/attentive to our group at the main pool. Entertainment - they do a nice job each day. We especially enjoyed the King of Pop event, for a moment we thought Michael was resurrected! Kade/Keen - our butlers. They went out of their way to help out with whatever we needed. They also did a great job decorating my daughters room for her 16th Bday! Alcohol was flowing, food was above average (Le Bouchon for steak, Pierside for hibachi - it does get warm in there, nothing that a few red strip beers could not solve, and make sure to get a smoothie or two from the spa after working out, we loved them.

    This is my first time in Jamaica and first stay with the Jewel Grande. We stayed in a suite and had stellar butler support from the dream team: Keen and Flitch. The room and view was spectacular and the food was delicious. I cannot recall a negative aspect from this trip other than the weather since it rained one day when we did our excursion. The Jewel Grande staff members were friendly and had a hand gesture indicating service from the heart. It was truly an extravagant and memorable stay. If I go back to Jamaica I would highly consider going here again with my family. It was such a luxurious stay.

    We went with 14 people total (6 being kids under 16) and one was our Grandma. Everyone was so accommodating and even in the city itself everyone was so kind! 10/10 would go again. We read some reviews about Jamaica and people saying they felt unsafe but that is VERY untrue! I felt like I could walk around at 3 am and it was fine. We got butlers for our room and they went above and beyond for us! We decided to make Jewel Grande our official family vacation spot from now on!

    Although our stay was not without its issues, this is an awesome property with a committed and excellent staff. The rooms (Sentry Tower) are huge and have beautiful ocean views. The food is plentiful and diverse. Restaurant service is pretty slow, but that’s not a big deal. The pools are quite nice and the beach was very enjoyable (and we found covered seating at the beach was pretty easy to grab before 9:30am). WiFi connectivity was usually pretty good around the property except for a 48 hour period in our rooms and the others in our Tower when there was apparently a cable issue off property. Even though this was supposedly not Jewel’s fault, I still think there should be better back up and contingency plan in place to handle this inconvenient eventuality. The employees are excellent and some deserve a special mention. These include servers Jason (Bouchon), Austin (a trainee at Orchids), and Damian R (Moonstone). Also excellent around the property were Kemar (water sports), Akin (beach server), Henry and Shaquille (pool bartenders), Jodi-Kay (animated pool-side server), Yaneek (Guest Services) and Moyan (front help with luggage). Also a real stand-out is the property General Manager Vishal Vaswani who seemed to be everywhere and has the impossible job of making sure everyone is happy. Vishal was a pleasure to meet and interact with and is a real asset. All in all, this is an excellent property with great facilities and great people. We look forward to returning !
