We absolutely loved this hotel and cant believe it is classed as a value resort, the grounds were spotless always so clean and well kept!the theming was amazing the kids loved it! We stayed in the little mermaids section, after reading reviews I was about worried about how far away it was from everything I had read on a few reviews it was a 30 min walk from main building, your lucky if it a 10 min walk!and it's such a nice walk with lots to see on the way! The room was more spacious than I thought although if kids were any bigger could see why it would be a bit tight! We managed to store our suitcases and a huge double buggy in so plenty room for us, the room was clean and well kept, beds were comfy, although quite high my wee one fell out a few times, just keep in mind if taking younger kids, the eating area was ok, was a bit manic like a canteen style, the food was nice although the same food on offer so if there for a while can get a bit repetitive, we had issues with our dinning plan as dont think its explained well enough, some days we would choose our food to then be told we could have more sides etc then other days we had too many as some sides were on our plate which we didnt realise was a side, maybe a bit more explanation to how this works would help future guests to minimise any confussions. The pools were all great, all provided towels and life jackets for kids, there was always enough towels, jackets and sun loungers, we used all 3 pools and were all good, buses were great to and from parks and very regular, sometimes every 10 mins, the sky liner is an added bonus so easy to jump on and off to the parks, we opted out of mousekeeping but were able to request things when needed no problems. Overall this hotel was amazing for our trip we all loved it! We would not hesitate to come back and stay here again, thank you art of animation for making our first visit to America one we will never forget!

This is our second time to the AOA Resort but first time in the FN Suite. If you have little kids, they will love all the fun theming in this room. You enter into the dining room, where the table is a murphy bed. There is a living room and kitchen area, a separate bedroom and two baths. This room was very clean. I did feel that the walls seemed extraordinarily thin as I could hear everyone talking who went down the hall. Our flight came in at 6:05 am and though we had requested early check-in, I didn't think there would be any way it would be ready when Magical Express dropped us off. Low and behold it WAS ready and we were able to take a much needed nap after our red eye flight before heading out for the day. Though we didn't use it this time, it's nice to know the skyliner runs here. We had breakfast at landscpe of flavors. Mickey waffles and bacon are always a good choice. Great stay!!

I have been coming to Walt Disney world for many years now and this was the first time I have stayed at the Art of Animation resort. We were located in the little mermaid area and although it is quite a walk from the main building it was a lovely walk as there are lots of character figures for those must have photo opportunities and the children really enjoyed seeing them. The rooms are really clean and comfortable and themed really well however there is very little storage for your clothes. (More drawer space required Disney). Coffee and tea making facilities are available in your room too. The resort has three heated pools. There's The Big Blue in the Finding Nemo section just outside Animation Hall which is the largest pool of any Disney resort at 12,000 square feet! Two quieter pools are located in The Little Mermaid and Cars sections. all pools have on duty lifeguards and are open from 8:00 or 9:00am to 9:00 or 10:00pm depending on the time of year. The resort also has an arcade games area where you can collect tokens and chose prizes. You can also watch Movies under the stars each night where your favourite and classic Disney films are able to be viewed via a large blow up screen. The food court is open from 6:00 am - 12:00 am for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are four food stations to choose from featuring a selection of pizza, pasta, burgers (I can recommend the plant based burger), salads, sandwiches, and Indian cuisine. A "Grab 'n Go" market is also available. There is also a room service menu available in each room. You can order a range of pastas and pizzas, breaded chicken breast bites with celery sticks and teriyaki, BBQ, or buffalo sauce, bread sticks with marinara sauce, chicken wings and a selection of sandwiches. room service is provided nightly 4:00pm to 12:00 midnight. There is a $3.00 delivery charge, applicable sales tax, and 18% service charge added to all orders. The drop off pool bar also offers a wide selection of beers, cocktails and soft drinks, snacks are also available. The resort has a 1.28-mile/2 km running / jogging trail which goes around the parameter of Hour Glass lake taking you past Disney's Pop Century resort too. All in all Art of Animation is a great family place to stay.

Booked the Art of Animation for the Disney Wine and Dine Marathon weekend. Race was on Sunday, so we planned on Flying in Friday and check out on Monday. Had my schedule and weekend all mapped out. The included Magic Express took much longer than I expected at the airport, had I known we would have to stand and wait 30 minutes to have enough people to fill the bus, I would have taken a private car service. I received a text from the hotel at 1p saying my room was ready and no need to check in at front desk, go directly to my room where I could get in with my magic bands or phone app. Get to the hotel at 1:30 and hiked what seemed like 1.5 miles back to the Little Mermaid section to my room scan my wristaband, door turns green but will not open. Luckily housekeeping was in the room beside mine so I let them know that we couldn't get in, they called security and verified it was our room and kindly let us in the room and said someone would be down to our room to fix the door and magic bands. My schedule had us heading to the Expo center at 2p and Magic Kingdom at 4p for the Mickey Halloween Party. 2 hours later and we are still stuck in our room because maintenance has not showed up. I call back up to front desk and tell them we are still waiting, and wait another 30 minutes when someone finally shows up and says they have to take our magic bands to the front desk and will be back. I told them we had plans and needed to leave but needed our bands to work when we got back after 12A.M. Missed the expo, as we needed to get to the Magic Kingdom for reservations at 4p. It was frustrating to have to hike so far back to the rooms, I don't recommend booking the Little Mermaid Rooms no matter how much money we saved, it was not worth it. The room itself was fine for the 3 of us just not a convenient location. There is an Arcade on site that is open 24 hours, loved the gift shop here, and the Restaurant on site seemed like a giant Cafeteria where you get a tray then walk around collecting the food items you want then go to register and check out. Recommend purchasing the refillable drink cups on the first day, you will get your moneys worth. Transportation back to the airport was nice, although I thought they would bring something to my room to confirm departure/check out but they did not, I went to the front desk and luckily they confirmed and gave me the printed ticket I needed to give driver. Shuttle was early at 2:55A for my 6:00A departure which was nice. I honestly do not think I would stay at this property again, from the frustration of trying to get into our room and the spread out design of property it just wasn't the best experience.
