Wow, what a Christmas we had at Walt Disney World and the Caribbean Beach Resort! After 20 years of visiting Orlando, I finally got to stay over Christmas and New Year! Pros: -great decorations -theming is spot on -rooms are adequate in size for 2, less so for 4 (although doable) -resort is the hub for the amazing Sky Liner -Good pool -Location is great; lakeside with beaches / hammocks -Banana Cabana bar is great and lakeside, serving good food and drinks -food court refurbed and looking great -lovely vibe here - colourful -beautiful lobby -friendly service -as far as moderate resorts go, a good find Cons: -food court quite small for size of resort and food options lacking -shop very small -rooms need a refresh, especially the bathroom with the brown walls -it's a big resort, which isn't a problem for us, but make sure you ask for a central location if you aren't mobile

Stayed here for a just one night before we switched over to the riviera. We ended up coming a day earlier and riviera was full. We are glad we got to experience this place for just one day. It’s grounds are spectacular and lush. A really fun play area for the kids l, the pool is fun! The cabana bar is a nice place for a drink. We thought the food options were lacking though and the rooms are very small but that can’t be changed obviously. It’s an older property with well renovated rooms but I will say, my one complaint was the carpet in the rooms. It needs to go. It’s decent but in general gets a lot of traffic and it shows. They’d make a lot of people happy by removing it and doing vinyl wood floors like at some of the other properties. I’d stay here again if I was to come for a quick stay.

I really loved the pool, skyliner access, and little beaches on the resort. The rooms were very small and outdated and the food was only okay. The value resorts actually have newer and nicer rooms. The bus stops are small and have to stop at 5 locations so if you are not one of the first three sometimes it takes longer. We stayed in Barbados and were able to make every bus with little wait (third stop). The Jamaica and Aruba side had very long lines for buses. The skyliner worked very well and wasn’t a far walk from Barbados. We were upgraded to a 5th sleeper even though we only had 2 people because that’s all they had available (our resort was closed and we were moved during covid- Disney was really great about how they handled it I must say) but that sleeper is tiny. If you are taller than a young teen it’s probably uncomfortable. It just didn’t feel homey and Disney like other resorts for me. I felt very cut off from other people.

My Wife takes me to Disney every year for my birthday in late November. This way we get to see the Christmas lights too. AMAZING. We always stay at Disney and this resort is fab.. My cord belt has 9 Birthday Buttons on it now. I'm 72 and still a kid when I'm on Disney soil. I love the shuttle bus pick up station there just outside our door. What can I say. I wanna go back today :-)

We opted for Caribbean Beach because POFQ was not available. We did online check-in and got a room close to the Epcot Skyliner! Bell services held our luggage for us when we arrived early so that we could visit the parks. We did have to haul our luggage to our room when we arrived later in the evening which was not amazing, but understandable during the current climate. The pros: SKYLINER! Skyliner transportation is amazing! Lines get long but they are always moving. The large pool is awesome! Our family had a blast there. The beds are also awesome. I was happy about this considering most hotel beds just aren't like home. The cons: Our bathroom had an intermittent sulfuric smell which they attempted to cover up with HEAVY scent. The scent was initially a welcomed gesture. However, once we got a whiff of the sulfur, we suddenly knew why the scent was so strong. Additionally, this resort is HUGE! We didn't mind as we are used to walking the theme parks. But be warned! The food options at this hotel are also lacking. I tried a few of the Caribbean options and they were not good. Ultimately, we ended up with chicken tenders for most of our stay. Lastly, the bus driver from MK to the hotel was RUDE!!! I understand they are under a lot of pressure but he was not a typical Disney spirited guy. Final thoughts: I will stay at CB again if the deal is right, but I really hope POFQ opens back up soon!
