    We had an amazing visit. Hospitality was impeccable as well as consideration for health and safety during a pandemic. Pre checkin and text features were great additions from our previous visits. We had a safe and respectful time. Masks are required, as they should be.

    We had issues with one of the two TVs in our suite so they gave us another room. No house keeping due to COVID but we received clean towels within 5-10 minutes of our request. Our kids loved the pool area.

    I will state the positives first about this hotel 1 Bus transportation to universal is awesome from this place never waited 5 min for a bus in the morning and they are stacked one after another. 2 Starbucks in hotel! 2 Food court just like other resorts food was ok not great but convenient. 3 2 pools seemed nice but busy for sure. 4 Bowling Ally in hotel never used it but looked nice 5 Nice gym but kids where in there unsupervised by parents teenagers. Now for the negative points of my review 1 Everywhere where you walked around the hotel people where smoking there was a smoking section right next to the bus depot spot so you had to walk through it to get to the bus! I don’t know about everyone else but I don’t smoke and I sure as heck don’t want to smell or breathe your cigarette smoke! 2 The Room was kind of dirty like had not be cleaned real well corners of floor in bathroom where filthy! 2 bathtub faucet was pulled from wall and looked like it needed some attention 3 carpets throughout hallways where snagged and needs to be fixed or replace and definitely needed a good shampooing they where stained 4 when you pull up to the front of the hotel and light bulbs are out on there main sign that says cabana bay that is first impressions it tells you something right then and there! 5 The colors that are painted on the building have faded and they need to repaint looks dingy to let go! 6 noticed in the dining room a piece of trim under a table was coming off and no one taped it off or bothered to fix it someone could have cut themselves on it! I would probably give the place 2.5 stars not just 2 ! In conclusion the hotel staff was very nice and got us anything we asked for. The in room coffee was good and we had a good time at universal but at 300 dollars a night I would much rather stay at a Disney hotel where it seems little things or big things are not let go! I hope maybe after covid they find enough money in there profits to do some TLC to there hotel!

    Clean, efficient, and comfortable. COVID protocols were adhered to with minimal disruption to getting to and from the parks. The lack of room service was tough when we had two accidents with a juice box and potty accident. We could text the front desk and got clean linens but they were not complete linen sets or only sheets. We had to ask for full bedding after 3 attempts after the juice box incident. My biggest issues were with lack of variety of food choices that were healthier. We struggled to find fruit for our kids that was not a mealy or mushy cut up apple. The kids menu offered apple slices and carrot sticks. The apple slices were mushy or deteriorating. So we opted to buy other fruits at a high cost. Not a deal breaker but a real bummer. Salads were scarce as well.

    We loved our stay every staff member was extremely friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean and the hotel had a lot to offer. The hotel also had a lot to offer. So even if we didn't go to parks we still would have had a blast.
