Educator Conference
Natam L (Los Angeles, California) on Mar 23, 2024
I stayed here while attending a work conference in March 2024. I would like to recognize the following employees for exemplary service during my stay: Kean, for a great personality, as well as, fantastic customer service at both check-in and check-out. Ezequiel, for amazing customer service. Eka, for amazing customer service. Erin (Concierge), for warm and friendly service. Bar Staff, for their hustle and being so accommodating during the Thursday check-in rush. Thanks for everything!
Solid Option if Proximity to DT Palm Springs is the Goal
Ben B on Mar 23, 2024
We’ve stayed at nearly every Marriott property in the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area, and the quality of the property itself was on the lower end. The highlight of the Renaissance is its location. The proximity to DT Palm Springs is wonderful. The other highlights: the bar staff. Each team member we encountered in the bar was 10/10. Erin, the concierge, was a blast. Huge asset to the property. We had a pretty rough check in experience that was eventually rectified by the Front Desk Manager. Seems there are a lot of new team members which is understandable. Our room was not ready until a few minutes before 4, and that was the case for several other folks we sat near in the bar. Despite being a titanium elite member, it didn’t seem like there was any sense of urgency to expedite the room’s readiness. While the “warmth” offered to high loyalty guests is hit or miss these days, the Renaissance was particularly disappointing. If you’re looking for something in the heart of the action, this is a solid option, but don’t expect the luxury feel you might get at the numerous resort options outside of the city. This felt distinctly like a 3 star property. Triada, an Autograph Collection property, is a much better property but usually more points or $$$.
Great choice while attending events at the Palm Springs Convention Center
jus982 (Melbourne, Australia) on Mar 21, 2024
Perfect choice if attending events at the Palm Springs Convention Center. Rooms are spacious and the staff are generally friendly and helpful. The hotel is connected to the convention center next door, which makes it very easy to move between the two locations. The hotel has a single washing machine and dryer, but they are both free for guest usage. The gym is quite small and basic, definitely could use an upgrade. Most frustrating thing about the stay was the room key constantly failing to work when trying to enter the room. I lost count of how many times I needed to return to the front desk to get my key card fixed ( ... and I wasnt putting the card near my phone ... ) Overall was happy with the hotel, but could use a few improvements
Fantastic location, rooms and Customer Satisfaction
Andy T (Eugene, Oregon) on Mar 20, 2024
I had a wonderful weekend stay that far exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived Kean and Natalie (trainee and mentor) were courteous, easy and efficient. I was given a great poolside, mountain view room that was a 10/10. During my stay every request was met with a quick, decisive friendly "YES!". I can't recall a hotel stay being so easy. Special shout out to Kean and Natalie for their impressive professionalism, warmth and committment to customer satisfaction and well being. This exemplary service, the wonderful view and location makes Renaissance Palm Springs a hotel I would most certainly consider returning to.
Average room for $440.00!
Oakleaf1950 (San Francisco, California) on Mar 19, 2024
As I told the manager a day later, there were some positives about our one-night $440.00 stay: the staff was attentive and pleasant, both at the front desk and the breakfast restaurant. However, for one night (begun at 10:15 pm on our home to Arizona from a wedding in LA, the room was dated, average, not particularly clean and most important, without a Keurig or up-to-date coffee pot. It was commensurate with a Hampton Inn room. It is one of the first times that I have felt the room price was not commensurate with the room. I will not be staying there again and am still smarting at the $440.00 pricetag.
