    We had the best service here at the resort. We really loved Lamberto who works lemon grass. He totally took care of us an made us feel amazing. We’ve had such a great experience here an will be definitely coming back. Thanks for a great time

    Had an amazing stay! We stayed for 4 nights with three of my girl friends! We had a beautiful two bedroom facing the pool and ocean. Amenities were perfect and definitely a plus the washer and dryer in the room! Room service was on point, the service at all the restaurants was amazing! Everything was so clean and beautiful. We spent most our time by the pool and Lamberto was our server the first day at the pool and we looked for him every day to where he was serving to make sure he was our server. Lamberto was very attentive and always checking in if we needed anything the whole time! We really appreciated that! All the other extra services at the pool was great: the Ice cream served every afternoon, the attention to one of the servers offering to clean my sunglasses I was impressed! Definitely plan coming back here with family and many more trips! Thank you for a great relaxing girls trip!

    We came out here for my besties bachelorette and it was super fun! This resort is great, super chill. The service is #1! Poolside you can order your drinks and snacks with Lamberto he will take care of you and hook you up! Overall I will come back here with my family because of the atmosphere and service.

    I don't even know where to start. Marival Distinct was an oasis. We were treated like royalty by everybody. The best part of the trip was the Beach Concierge Staff of Oscar Lopen, Carlos Pineda, Francisco Gallegos, Jorge Duarte, Jose Mata, Jesus Luna and Jose Rodriquez. They were amazing. They treated my wife like a princess the entire week. A shout out to Pablo and Ana in the bar right behind check in. They were AMAZING as well. This property was clean, friendly and inviting. It would be a 10 out of 10 for every aspect.

    We were please with the look and feel of the property on arrival. The open air lobby that opened to the the beautiful swimming pool area was inviting and set the mood for what every traveler desires....a beautiful facility, in a beautiful setting with copious amounts of food and cocktails. We had to endure a bit of a hard-sell pitch to buy a Spa massage package before we were handed our room keys, but the cocktails that were given to us made it easier to bare. Other than that one distraction our check in process was easy, quick and painless. We were escorted via golf cart to our 2 room Penthouse suite, but after getting settled in we realized the room was dirty; unemptied garbage cans and hair on the floor caused us to call the front desk and ask for the room to be cleaned. The Cleaning staff was soon in our room taking care of the mess, but in our mind we were already thinking, "what else is not clean?". After getting settled in and touring our room (which had a private pool on the roof), we set off to find the beach. Marival is located among other resorts, but it feel secluded. There is easy walking access to the beach, although it should be noted this property is not actually on the beach. We found the beach and continued our exploration with the pool. The pool area is beautiful and well cared for and the pool staff is very good. They are quick with food and drink, which is not always the case at and all-inclusive facility. The food ranges from average to above average, but it does not approach "good". We ate at all of the Marival restaurants and the service is acceptable, but there was more than one issue based on a language barrier. To be fair, we were in their country so perhaps it is us who should have been required to speak better Spanish instead of expecting them to speak better English. On our last night we ate at a restaurant called Omaggio and it was bad. From beginning to end they got nothing right. The lady who seated us was not friendly (which was very uncommon), the waiter spoke almost no English and did not even come close to getting our order correct. One of our party ordered Lobster (which came with an extra cost) and it was so tough we couldn't even cut it with a knife. It was a one pound lobster and more that half of it was untouched. To top things off, the lobster was brought to the table almost 15 minutes after the other entrees. Everyone else at the table had finished their entrees (which were brought out at the same exact time as the salad), the plates had all been picked up and then the lobster arrived. The waiter apologized, but not one person in the restaurant tried to correct the problem or even acknowledged the problem. I did speak to the manager of all the restaurants and he apologized, but the issue was over at that point and there was nothing to be done. The situation did funnel down to the concierge who initiated a conversation with me the next day. Again, he apologized and acknowledged that none of the issues at Omaggio should have happened, but there was nothing he could do about it other than to apologize and assure me he would make things right on my next visit. On that point, I should mention that the concierge staff was outstanding for the entirety of our stay. The were very professional, knowledgeable and very helpful.
