Worse experience ever

Andrew A on Apr 17, 2024

Let’s start off with the food, which isn’t fit to feed my dog. It’s the same tasteless selection and extremely disappointing for an all inclusive. The only half decent food is the Italian but beware. If you have a family with young children stay away. They don’t allow children in the Italian restaurant. Being a hotel on the water, you’d think they’d have a good selection of seafood with meal options but sorry to disappoint, they have food I wouldn’t feed to starving children in a third world country. You go to the buffets to have a meal and they run out of clean plates and there’s no sense of wanting to bring clean plates out so you can eat vs sit there for 25 minutes waiting for them to clean a plates which never ended coming out. Let’s move onto the drinks. I understand cost savings but with how much you pay to stay here. You’d think they’d have and serve better than bottom shelf alcohol that are over sweetened and watered down. You ask for a drink and the bartender makes whatever they want and when you try to explain to them that it’s not what you wanted, nothing special, they look at you like you’re stupid. Now onto the facilities. Good luck with the elevators. They are tiny and move at a snails pace so you end up waiting 4-5 minutes for an elevator which feels like it’s in its last let when you step into it. There’s bird crap everywhere you go and be careful when slightly leaning on the railing in your room otherwise you’ll end up falling to your painful death. There’s no place to put your clothes away while your staying for an extended time and the bathroom door doesn’t even close without slamming it shut, waking everyone in the room up. The seating in the room is made for people with no backs and extremely long legs which is extremely uncomfortable. The beds are just like sleeping on the rock hard floor and the pillows are like putting a sheet in a bag. The seating at the pool are half torn up and mostly covered in bird crap. They put the gym above sleeping rooms and so if you have a small child who naps, forget about it during the day because all you hear is people slamming weights down through your ceiling. Definitely not my first all inclusive and absolutely disgusted and disappointed with this one. The reviews made it sound decent and I was optimistic prior to arriving but I was absolutely wrong. All in all, I feel like you better off spending the little bit more and stay at the Hyatt or Hilton down the road.

GREAT time at the Grand Palladium Resort in Puerto Vallarta

donrumore (Phoenix, Arizona) on Apr 17, 2024

My wife and I and another couple just finished staying at the all-inclusive Grand Palladium Resort in Puerto Vallarta. Everyone from the front-desk clerk Daniel to the waiter Fernando at the Mexican restaurant to Isain the bellman who hauled our bags (10 in all) to the taxi, and everyone else bartenders, landscapers, maids, etc. were extremely accommodating. They always said Hi, Hola, Buenas Dias first, and with a smile. They sincerely cared that we had what we wanted/needed. The room, the food, the views, were fantastic. I whole heartily recommend that you stay at this all-inclusive resort. We went to have a relaxing time and we accomplished our goal. There is something for everyone from children to seniors and everyone in between. Rarely do i want to return to a place as there are so many places to visit, but I will look into either revisiting this resort or one of their many other resorts. Great job by everyone. You have obviously been well trained by the management to treat all of your guests special - exactly how it should be in hospitality business.

Not returning

HadRick (Canada) on Apr 16, 2024

My wife and I spent from April 4 to 11 at this hotel. English is very limited by the staff. I realize this is Mexico but sign language shouldn’t be necessary to get a drink at the bar or get food. This is not meant to disrespect the staff. They are all friendly and do what they can to help. The food and drinks were just okay. We were here in 2022 and had a wonderful experience but I didn’t recognize any former staff members. I’m not sure what that means We both became seriously ill with a stomach issue on the 13th and had to call the resident Doctor. So two days were spent in bed waiting for our flight home. It’s a nice hotel with beautiful views but we won’t be returning. We will not be returning

Food Safety is an issue

Coastal22010145553 on Apr 15, 2024

This hotel is beautiful and clean. It sits about 20 minutes from down town. The beach is gorgeous . The employees do not speak English but you can manage. The issue here is there is ZERO food safety standards in place. Proper temperature holding is not managed at all. Required cold is warm ( hot) required hot is cold. Very dangerous. My husband and I both took seriously sick loosing 2 days of a needed vacation. Spending 2 days in a hotel room is not ideal. Disappointing to say the least. It's too bad because this hotel is perfect but we will not be returning due to the food safety issues. It's a problem .
