Right from when my wife and I got dropped off by taxi at the Impressive Premium Entrance till the time we left, we were totally looked after. Our main man there looking after us was Frenando. Though it was so stressed with what was going around the world, the people working the premium side were so helpful and obliging. This was our first time at this resort and I DO recommend going premium. We found premium services well worth the extra and the room we had was the best we've ever stayed in at a resort...right on the beach and two balconies overlooking the ocean, one with a hottub. We never got to try all the restaurants, but do recommend the Italian and the Oriental. At the end of the evening we always stopped for pizza at the outside pizza parlor by the beach. There are representatives there that try to have you watch their presentation about time shares, you can or not, up to you. We took a couple quick excursions while there so never had time to look the resort totally over. It is situated with lush palm trees and vegetation everywhere so it did feel like a resort in the wilderness....no concrete jungle. The beach was awesome, sandy and beautiful turquoise water, all which we had the privilege to be able to enjoy even from our room. There was 2 pools, one for the premium guests. We spent our evenings at the Premium bar. The bartenders at this bar always made us feel special. A shout out to the 2 best bartenders on the resort...Geormary and Mario. We met 3 nice couples at this resort, one from PEI, one from Boston and one from Michegan. Learned a new card game Canasta with them and had many shots to help with the game. Although a stressed out time, where your mind was always thinking about what was happening around the world, this beautiful resort and helpful, friendly staff, helped bring a piece of peace into our life's. We will definately be going back hopeing to be capture by this resort again

    Not Great Customer Service

We arrived on March 7th for one week. We paid for premium and did not receive anything that was premium. Every single night around 8:00 pm they had no premium liquor. We are not day drinkers so we missed out. From speaking to other guest I think they actually put it away at a certain time or when they have given out a certain amount. How is this premium service to your premium service guest? We ate at the buffet a few times and it was always cold, great flavour, but cold. This is the same for most of the restaurants. There were 3 of us in our room - myself, my husband and our 14 year old daughter. On the second day our room was cleaned and there was only one towel given to us. I called to get more and after the 3rd call we received more towels - oh and we were not given a hand towel or face cloths. This happened 3 times over our 7 day trip. Everything seems really unorganized and no one really seems to know exactly what they are supposed to be doing. I think mostly they are understaffed. Trying to get a coffee in the morning was very sometimes hard as well. The beach and grounds were beautiful but I would not return here solely because of the customer service.

arrived on Feb 15th. booked a garden view room. We simply asked about upgrading to pool view room.We were advised by Victor that for the price difference we would be better off upgrading to premium. We hesitated, We asked if we could see the premium area FIRST he advised us pay first and if you dont like come back here to refund. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. We TRUSTED his word. We visited and less than 5 minutes later went back to Victor and asked to be kept at the main resort as we preferred it there. HE REFUSED to refund us and send us back to premium. Where EZEKIEL returned us again to main front desk. This happened Twice as they now were passing the buck. What transpired next what we've seen as the worst run around scam job EVER. We attempted to resolve issue trying to cancel the upgrade and refund 200$ .They tried to give us other inadequate rooms (smoke smell or one bed and one even occupied! until we finally settled on our original garden view room . We were once again brushed off by Libby . She referred us to concierge Ana who made us fill out a written complaint which was forwarded to ARIEL manager, he a print of our credit card to process refund. We trusted this would now be resolved. 2 days later we went back to verify seems that the photocopy of the card nbr unclear!!! yet nobody advised us .A second copy was taken withpromise that it would be done and we'd receive an email confirmation. THIS NEVER HAPPENED we've been back over a month!

Short transfer, lovely room and good food in most of the restaurants We were not too keen on the main buffet as was very busy or the Italian, but we possibly ordered the wrong thing. We did enjoy the French restaurant and the grill. But our favourite was the Olive Tree because of the food and also because of Wilson who always had a smile on his face and a COFFEE pot in his hand. Wilson, Yoselin, Yenis and Mildry were happy and efficient Pools were amazing but we stuck to the quiet pool Some rowdy Canadians but when it’s all inclusive it’s to be expected and they were just having fun Not too keen on the plastic glasses everywhere but on reflection probably safer than glass when you’ve had a few Overall nice hotel and they are trying to improve Good entertainment when he went to the show Met some lovely people inc. Doug and Shirley from Canada

The grounds rooms are great I'd give give them a 4 star rating. The food is way too repetitive at the buffets and average at best. The a la carte restaurants are a must to break up the repetitive selections. Now for the reason I would never bring my family back there. From the moment we arrived we had a "personal concierge " check us in. This person was really just a vacation club seller trying to rope us into a 90 min timeshare breakfast. And when you refuse to attend they no longer help you. People bring their families on these trips for a relaxing family vacation. This resort thinks you want to sit around buying timeshares, lobster dinners and anything else they can try and sell you. If you ever want to be more then a 3 star get rid of the timeshare crew
