Great place for spring break trip. Excellent beach with plenty of chairs anytime of day. No extra charge for sailing on catamaran or kayaks. Kids went parasailing which was a decent price. Good swimming but no snorkeling from the beach. Nice sand volleyball court. Good pools again always could find a chair but the shaded areas fill up fast. Room was good and comfortable. We liked most of the food including buffets and restaurants. All staff is friendly including the entertainment staff especially Nadal. My wife’s iPhone quit working and we were connected with Miguel who was able to bring it to the store himself and get it fixed. He was also helpful with all of our other questions. Thank you Miguel!!!! Thanks to all the staff!

Great short vacation. Thank you to Jean Louis at baggage, Peña, Jose, Hansel, Alexis and Juan at the à la cartes, Leissy at beach buffet, William, Enrique and Willian at the bars for going above and beyond!!!! Special shout out to Weslin at reception for the wonderful service, accomodating my room request and for checking in to make sure everything was as expected and up to par. Stay gold my friends!!!! Hasta la proxima!! ????

Over recent years I've been to Dominicana multiple times, this hotel is the worst so far! The most important: the staff is just terrible, it's always an impression that they are doing you a favour, not their job. 1. Terrible service in the main restaurant You will always chase staff to give you knives, forks, and water glasses. After that, you will start chasing them to pour you water and order drinks. Multiple times I was waiting for a single beer the entire dinner, reminding waiters about it 3 times. 2. Poor wifi signal and coverage In the room, it is far from ideal but at least works, but in other areas of the hotel you will have a hard time using the internet (no signal in the main restaurant, bad signal in the main reception, almost no signal around the pool). 3. No tents near the pool There are a couple of areas with a bit of shadow, but the majority of places are under the sun and they don't have any tents at all, so you have to hide near buildings, etc. 4. Always queues and chaos to order drinks from the bar (near the beach and in the reception).

1st time in Punta Cana. i have been to Mexico, Cuba and Jamaica, this resort was amazing and better than the other destinations! Great layout out, rooms were a nice size and very clean. food was amazing - buffet and the ALA cartes. loved the little restaurant/bar above the swim up bar, and the restaurant near the beach. the tacos and pizza at night were to die for. the staff was very friendly, helpful and fun. beach was well maintained, pools were beautiful. short distance to walk anywhere. drinks were wonderful. the only thing I didn't care for was having to walk under the waterfall to get to the swim up bar, but that was minor. foam party on saturday was so much fun! entertainment throughout the day was great and the shows at night were lots of fun. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this resort to everyone.

Our first time to the Occidental Punta Cana, we have already recommended this resorts to our friends and family. Enjoyed our vacation and so much fun and entertain with the animation team especially Rosaura and yaritza. Animation is great, from morning at the beach/playa, pool aquafit, this goes on to the zumba/excercise at the pool. Some dancing and pretty much enjoying everyone’s company. Love the shows at night. We’ve been to other resorts before and this is by far a resort that is walkable to the beach from our habitacion and not taking the trolly. Awesome experience, will definitely come back again.
