Came for our anniversary trip and enjoyed the trip overall. Staff were kind, attentive, and helpful. There was always someone on hand to help with more towels, getting drinks, food or directions. Food was pretty good and service at the restaurants/pool/beach was consistent. The tres leches cake was my ultimate addiction by the end! Yum!! The jetted bathtub was deep and roomy. The balcony was spacious and ocean view was lovely. Really glad we came and the experience was spot on for an all-inclusive at this price point. A few areas that could be improved— 1) they asked us to keep our personal speakers low so we didn’t interfere with other guests. We didn’t bring any speakers so it didn’t apply to us. However when we were at the pool, beach, or on our room balcony OTHER guests made their own music/soundtracks/speakers volume really loud. Amazing that people really think everyone loves country or 90’s alternative as much as they do. And the resort doesn’t regulate on behalf of other guests. (?) if you are looking for a remote/quiet/sleepy/sexy trip, you may spend a lot of time in your room with the door shut. It’s not a quiet sexy place. It’s like a slightly older version of your spring break college trips with competing stereos and tipsy people laughing/yelling splashing in their swim-up rooms. And no one wants to feel like an old wet blanket snitching on others so...we went inside and shut the door. When the partying was actively happening you could hear birds, waves, breezes in the palm trees... 2) housekeeping was ok but inconsistent. Sometimes the nice touches were done. Other times...not so much. One robe. One pair of slippers. Sometimes chocolates on the pillow or calming music for turndown service. Sometimes just chocolates no music. Sometimes coffee was refilled but not every day. Maybe they need a checklist? 3) The upselling is a bit much. We had travelled 14 hours, partly on a red eye flight, and took two planes to get there and we just wanted to check into our room, shower and have some food before even thinking about activities or anything else... but we were shuffled between several staff people with different types of presentations and declined (multiple times) a strongly pushed presentation to join a loyalty club before they would show us to our room. The next few days included being approached many times per day to attend a holiday show that would cost a couple hundred extra dollars.

First of I’d like to say this is our first time visiting Mexico and were very happy we vacationed at this resort. The very first person I want to mention is Gabi Jiménez and her other female sidekick(please excuse me for not knowing her name but please note her)are amazing. Gabi is one of the activities personal and she is very inviting and warm. Gabi kept us informed everyday as to what was happening each day. We had great conversations about life in Mexico and even that she is getting married in Germany... with that said the pool people were great. You want a drink/ lunch just ask and it will happen. Checking in was ok but to warn visitors they will pitch to sell a piece of the resort,(like a timeshare). If you want that great if not just ask to enjoy your stay and not be bothered with the sales pitch. The room 2424, was extremely nice/cleaned/sanitary. Bed was a king and comfortable. Our room had a amazing hot tub bathtub and I loved it. Food is pretty good except for the Hibachi dinner it was extremely salty. Breakfast/lunch/ dinners are fine. Dishes are works of art and you feel bad eating the art. The servers will call you by your name and will say “ it’s my pleasure!” with bringing what ever it may be. They believe what they say, which set these employees apart from any resort we’ve been too. Pool/ beach are nice. 4’ and 3’ deep pool and also had room pools very nice. Airport transfer was by BD travel and no issues occurred. After clearing security and baggage be carful and aware of time share sellers they can be forward to say the least. Again I can’t say it enough, but the employees are the best we’ve ever had.. Gabi will be missed I’m sure...

This trip was more than I ever could have dreamed of. My (now) Fiance stayed in building 27. This is the preferred club building. ARTURO was our concierge. He was the best concierge I could have ever prayed for. He was there to assist at every ask. He arranged beach chairs for us, he arranged Taxis as we went to the city to buy souvenirs. He ensured we were comfortable every step of the way. Secrets Maraoma ensured that my fiance and our 2 friends were taken care of everyday. I honestly could never ask for anything more The best part of the trip was...... My fianc asked me to marry him. This day was originally my birthday and now my Engagement day. We had an excellent dinner in the hut tree house over looking the beach. Then I was led out to the beach where he proposed and in the background was a sign "Will you marry me" Efrian (I'm probably spelling this wrong) and Artuto went out of their way to make this the most successful and romantic proposal I could ever imagine. There was a sign placed on the door that morning that read happy birthday. That day was my actually birthday. When we returned to our room the sign had been changed from HAPPY BIRTHDAY to JUST ENGAGED. EVERY PERSON AT THE RESORT IS AMAZING. I CANNOT IN WORDS EXPLAIN HOW GRATEFUL MY FIANCE AND I ARE AND HOW AMAZING MY 10 DAY STAY WAS. This trip was EPIC Everyone in the world should experience this level of awesomeness

This is our second trip to Secrets Maroma, and again we were not disappointed. From the moment you enter the property, you are made to feel like family. Our arrival was not through the main lobby as it was being renovated, but taken by golf cart to the new modified area, and greeted with a warm smile and a cold glass of champagne for my wife and I. We traveled with a larger group(8 people) and all were greeted in the same fashion(this was important to us, as some of them had never been here and came to celebrate my wife and I's 10 year vowel renewal.) The check in process was very quick, and we were immediately shown to our room(2641, Preferred Club Ocean View), and shown all the features and amenities that were offered. The view, much like our previous visit was absolutely gorgeous, and the room was clean and spacious. Roberto, our concierge introduced himself and each and every day we were there, was professional, and very warm and friendly. Each time greeting us by our name, and made us feel like he was there just for us. We spent most of our vacation at the pool, and Bramdon made sure with a larger group like ours, we could all sit and visit together. Each day arranging the loungers and umbrellas to allow for us to do so. He struck me as the type that loved his work, and enjoyed taking care of each and every one of us. His sense of humor and humility were second to none. We had two waiters while we were there in the pool area, Pedro and Manuel. Both were very quick, and friendly. Two of the 8 in our travel group did not drink, and both Pedro and Manuel went out of their way to suggest and brink them non alcoholic drinks to make sure they were not left out in any way. The drinks and food were amazing each day, as we tried different lunch spots and restaurants each night(I HIGHLY recommend the Italian restaurant, but each of them are delicious). The times we felt like doing more then lounging in or by the pool, the entertainment staff was always hosting some sort of activity. Whether it was volleyball in the pool or on the beach, to bracelet making, to spin classes, you could tell they loved their job and genuinely wanted to make sure each and every guest could get involved if they wanted to without being pushy. Gabrielle, Charlie, Enrique, and Angela(i apologize if i misspelled any name) were amazing, charismatic, and full of life and joy. Again, you could just sense they loved what they did. The only area I would say that could use improvement was the sensual show(sorry I forgot the name of it), but the dancers were amazing, the singing was just off. Traveling during these trying times, I was a bit concerned with how safe everyone in our group would feel, but each staff member wore mask, and would quickly wipe down all items guest were not currently using. The entire resort felt clean and fresh, but our room always seemed the cleanest. William our housekeeper would always stop each and every time he saw my wife and I and great us with a welcoming smile and a quick hello, and made sure if we needed anything or had any concerns they were addressed( we didn't as he did an amazing job with our room). The main reason we were there was my wife and I's 10 year vowel renewal. My wife was so excited for this, as was I. It was a special day for us, and we were both eternally grateful to Arely, our wedding coordinator who absolutely went above and beyond to exceed EVERY expectation we had. She kept my wife informed about what to expect and any decision/choice or add on we could do for the ceremony. She, and our friends being there made this vacation one we could never forget and so special to us. The main thing I want to convey is many places can and do say "welcome home", but this resort, WITH these people MADE us feel like we were truly home and part of their family.

We ended up eating at El patio more than any other restaurant. Ramon was our waiter most of the week and he was so great. Always took care of us and was super funny. The food at the Mexican restaurant was the best of all we had. We tried almost everything between the 6 of us and it was all good. Highly recommended.
