If you’re looking for the best service, food and accommodations all in one place - Anthony’s Key Resort is the spot! If you don’t dive, they have amazing snorkeling, paddle boards & kayaks. Truly one of our best trips - I was sick so I couldn’t dive but we will be back - guaranteed!

We had such a good time in Sept (2019) that we decided to go back. Didn't know when we booked that this was during the rainy season. Still we had fairly good weather the first week. Visibility was not as good (~ 50' as compared to 100' in Sept). because they just had storms the week before. We had an excellent dive master named Edwin; well spoken & very knowledgeable. did a great job leading the dives. If it was a 50 minute dive, at 50 minutes you could look up and there was the boat ladders and you still had some air to explore around the mooring line. Normally, you get 3 dives per day. Since all sites are close to dock, they come back in between dives, which gives you options on which dives you do each day -- really good for my wife who usually only gets in 2 dives / day. Boat captain was Ross. Also well spoken and very helpful. We have our own gear, but I checked out the rental stuff some folks were using . It was quality stuff in good condition. Second week we were there, a front moved in. Seas in front of AKR were really bad. They took boats to other side of island and bussed us other there. Those days we only got 2 dives /day. Diving was average. There were swells making getting in and out of the water a little challenging. We did learn that January thru March is not the best weather but that is not AKR's fault. Will we go back -- without a doubt. .

I've been staying and scuba diving at Anthony's Key Resort for more than 10 years... and I keep going back. The rooms are terrific (ranging from more rustic to more de luxe), the food is excellent, and the service, friendliness, and helpfulness of the staff are terrific. Most importantly to divers, the dive operation is the best I've seen anywhere, with great divemasters, dive boats, and captains. And the fish... it's like diving in the proverbial fishbowl. A great place for divers.

If you’re a diver, you want to book your stay on Roatan here. I’ve been diving throughout the Caribbean for a couple decades now, and have never been to a resort where every last detail is catered around the divers. From handling all aspects of your equipment when diving (which is just nice to not deal with sometimes!), to the resort meal times being adjusted depending on your dive sites, they think of everything. Example: first two days we were here it was bad weather, so we had to travel to the south side of the island to dive. We would never make it back in time for lunch. Oh, but don’t worry. Because we had to travel for the diving, the kitchen just pushed lunch back an extra hour to accommodate! Small things like that just make the whole trip wonderful. One note: if you’re new to diving, make sure to tell your dive master. They will take great care of you. If you stay quiet, they will assume you’re an experienced diver and not pay too much attention to you underwater (which I prefer). We had a gentleman on our boat who was a bit unhappy with our DM because of this, but hey, they’re divemasters, not babysitters. Speak up Skippy! ?? Seriously though, if you’re coming to Roatan for a dive trip (beginner or as another guy on our boat, his 750th dive), AKR is where you want to stay!!!!

We just spent last week at Anthony’s Key Resort and had a wonderful time. The staff are so gracious and helpful from check-in to check-out. Restaurant staff, Snorkel boat captains Marvin and Keno great! The extra activities: Maya Key and Island Festival fun and dolphin encounter so fun! We didn’t dive but heard that was spectacular as well. The rooms are nice with the deck to relax in the evening. Will definitely go back.
