bad booking

Tim L on Apr 13, 2024

currently here and what a mess arrived april 9th and had a lovers lagoon swimout booked arrived to being told by first person room was overbooked sitting in main lounge then moved to where all luggage dropped off told another story about our room, finally moved to club lounge where my wife and i were told we would have to stay in a different room because of a common unfortunate incident then 2 days later we will need to move to our swimout room, both of us were really upset as this was a booked anniversary trip was told by this manager we may receive a 250.00 resort credit and maybe a cabana rental that we will never use because we do not like those. the next day as both my wife and i were still really upset i talked with another manager and i again told hi, i wanted 2 days of reimburcement for not being in our booked room plus the pain, headache, trouble, inconvenience of needing to move again the room we were put into was in the Monchy Building by the way, this manager said he talked to the gm and was told NO REIMBURCEMENT WILL BE GIVEN FOR THE TROUBLE and said my wife might receive a spa credit ,so beware of booking here for this issue as we will never stay at another sandals resort again from this terrible service

Most Romantic Experience

Omar L (New York City, New York) on Apr 12, 2024

Spend my second year wedding anniversary at the world renown Sandals Grande St. Lucian. Staff was excellent from start to finish. Ms. Beverley E. took good care of us, just to name a few staff that went above and beyond. Island Routes staff, Jamie from the gift shop and the photo dept a job well done. Thank you all for making our 2nd year a blast. Pigeon Island is a must just a short walking distance and spectacular view of the Caribbean and the Atlantic ocean also Martinque is visible on a good day.

Beautiful place

Cnygirl1984 (Syracuse, New York) on Apr 12, 2024

The resort was beautiful. The trip there (which has nothing to do with sandals) is very windy and we booked a private car service thru island taxi, which was fantastic but I almost got car sick both ways. Book the helicopter ride to the resort if you are able. Resort : stunning views, clean rooms (kudos to the cleaning staff!) . Not a lot of activities on the resort, so you definitely need to entertain yourselves ??. The restaurants were all delicious. We couldn't get into the Japanese steak house or the international restaurant until 8pm booking right when we got there. The sushi restaurant is delicious so we hit that up for some late lunches. Matthew was our favorite bartender. Drinks were fast and made perfectly by him so we tried to get out of the pool as much as possible to go to him. The rest of the bar staff seemed new which reflected in the drinks and they were more interested in carrying on their own conversations behind the bar rather than serving you. We did not do any excursions due to time, however there was one on our bill. They did remove it, but check your bill carefully. This is my first sandals trip and I will say the food was better than other resorts I have been to along with paddleboards / kayaks /snorkeling included which was nice. I would consider going again.

Restaurant, poolside and bar staff reviews! It was so amazing. We plan to come back really soon.

We had the most amazing experience with a lot of the staff members. Specifically Sharlene, Beverly and Daisy who are at the restaurants and poolside. Also Peter, Matthew and Rent who are at the bar. The Holloway clan had an amazing experience!

Good, not great, this time...

Andrea S on Apr 11, 2024

Visited the first week in April 2024 and just couldn't give it five stars. My wife and I were celebrating my retirement after 35 years and were expecting a bit more personal service, especially since I informed them over the phone while making reservations the reason for the trip. No one there knew why were there or really seemed to care. I felt we were just another number, which is disappointing due the the number of trips to Sandals resorts we have had over the years. Room refrigerator was not stocked daily despite repeated requests to fill on daily basis. Ran out of wash cloths and had to ask for more. Waited 1.5 hours for dinner at Toscanini's (1 hour wait for appetizers; 30 minutes later for the main course). Loved our room and the entertainment, but question whether we will be back.
