Give me a minute or two please I know there were a lot of poor reviews regarding this resort, but we went because of the location and how the grounds looked. However, on our vacation we encountered few issues as well, the front of the house worked very hard for us and made our stay the absolute best for us, they really do want everyone to have a romantic time here. Yes some of the areas were a bit tired and worn, however if you look at the beauty of the location, lush vegetation, quietness, and the quality of the restaurants this resort was actually a beautiful place. After the issues were taken care of, we sat back and looked where we were, how beautiful the location is, nestled between the mountains and a cove, not a lot of boat traffic and even with the secondary airport near is was so quiet and romantic for my partner and I. It is going to be restored and hopefully adding another restaurant and possibly another bar. Looking forward to seeing the Renos and again renting a SUV and experiencing the Island soon.

We had a relaxing time. The food was good. We enjoyed the Italian, Asian, Steak House and Mediterranean ( French Onion soup was our favorite). I would also recommend the salad's at the Barefoot Grill. The staff are amazing we first met Anna at the Lobby Bar she was such fun!!! Alysha was superb getting us up to dance and had the best smile. Drinks were top shelf and if you happened to finish a bottle they went out of their way to find another. We were impressed not only how friendly they were to us but also to each other the staff were always fist pumping each other it was nice to see. We had a Mountain View room it was a good size and kept clean. The place is closing at the end of the month for needed renovations. The seaweed on the beach the first day of our stay was disappointing after it was removed the beach was lovely. The entertainment was better than we expected but it was over at 10pm. Our Sunwing Bus ride on the way home felt dangerous they had an issue with a van not being available so they packed 20 of us with luggage stacked all around seats then we prayed the brakes wouldn't fail on the way down the mountains.

We stayed in a swim up on this secrets property and it was a good trip, it had its issues as the resort seemed rundown and understaffed, ( first night of mildew and moldy smelling room which minorly lingered, no bar staff wondering around for beverages, not much happening on the beach during the day) Swim up pool was net cleaned daily, but never scrubbed or vacumed We had spoken with a few people who mentioned they’re experiences at other secrets property’s and this one was missing the mark as well (and we do feel there were marks missed) For the all inclusive factor the food and drinks for the most part were fantastic As for night life the live music was good (till 10 pm) and then nothing too do it seemed afterwards As for secrets suppposedly being on par with sandels resort this vacation was expensive for the experience or lack there off, We do hope after there renovation which is supposed to be happpening shortly the experience greatly improves, i think if we would have known we would have waited to try it afterwards I don’t know if i would pay the amount we did again, but we are willing too give it a try again as we have stayed at many Hyatt properties and the service and quality was always there

Good experience with this resort but the property needs some love. Service and food was good, as expected with a Secrets property. The overall property needs some update and love. The room was clean and adequate for the price paid but had a moist feel and musty smell.

Excellent week at Secrets Saint Martin-clean rooms, surprisingly good food , large pool, beautiful beach with crystal clear waters. Staff super pleasant and helpful. Low key nightly entertainment by the lobby bar, no big production shows.Excellent daily yoga practices and aqua Zumba in the pool. The vibe at this property is quiet and relaxed- perfect for what we wanted. Only negatives were minor cosmetic site issues, spotty TV reception, no pool or beachside drink service, not big deals since we didn’t come to watch a lot of TV and didn’t mind walking a few feet to get our drinks from the poolside bar. Don’t believe the negative reviews, this property is Great!
