At US$250 per night (non-refundable), this is not a bargain choice but the convenience of going down an escalator (vs. returning a rental car or taking a taxi/shuttle) to check-in by 5am for a 6am flight was worth it. There was snowstorm the evening before so we enjoyed watching the snowplows clear the gate areas and runway. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was top notch. The main lounge is an outstanding place to relax, work online, or engage in conversation.

This hotel really is amazing hotel and the best thing is exactly in the airport No need to go out of airport or walk. View of rooms are awesome and for airplanes lovers are the best rooms You can see taxi and take off plane while you are in your bed!

Ok so our flight company messed up! At short notice, ie since getting off our plane, we find that we're stuck in Vancouver at 0730 with 24 hours to kill until our connecting flight. Luckily this hotel is on site ie a few short moments walk from baggage claim, has helpful friendly staff and can arrange v early check in. Brilliant. By 0830 we've gone from being stranded in a strange country far from home to sitting in a lovely room in this hotel getting showered up and refreshed to explore somewhere new. Rooms are large and air conditioned with large bathrooms including both bath and shower. Beds are large and comfortable and the rooms have desks (both for work and separate other for dressing table). Tea and coffee facilities are in rooms as is a mini bar and snacks/nibbles (watch the prices!) Steam iron and board, hairdryer, safe, robes and slippers in rooms along with good selection of toiletries. Free bottled water on bedsides. Plenty of usb charge points for devices Large TV which can be used to connect your IT and media to. Easy and office chairs in room. Our room faces the runway/taxiways and although well soundproofed, there is some noise that may disturb early morning. This won't bother us as we're leaving at 0600 but for others who may want a lie in I'd suggest asking for a room not on the runway side. The hotel/airport has direct access to the Vancouver SkyTrain which will take you directly to the city centre. As we've never visited Vancouver (or any part of Canada) before, we're going to take this opportunity and visit now. All eating drinking therefore done outside of hotel although facilities do look excellent. Staff brilliant - helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Cost reasonable for standard and location Rooms - lovely. Great bed, good size room, good bathroom, all very clean. An ability to check in at very short notice (ie no notice at all!) and very early in the morning is really good and definitely appreciated in our situation. Pool currently out of action for works but due open again within days. Location - couldn't be any better for airport access. Not great if you want to be walking into town for food, beer, touristy type activities etc or are bothered by runway noise (probably only on runway side of hotel as soundproofing is good) Downside - runway noise. Unable to comment on the dining and facilities as not used. Pool not available during our stay. Would definitely recommend to any airport user as a place to stay before or after flights as a good, clean, comfortable hotel to catch up on rest or hold business meetings.

I had a 6th floor room with view on the tarmac. I was afraid I would not be able to sleep due to the noise of airplanes taxiing in and out of the 6 gates I could see. I slept well after all (two nights in a row). The hotel is very clean and linens are comfortable including the bed.

The good: I enjoyed our family stay at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver Airport. Crisp clean linens, nice amenities, fabulous room service including charcuterie board, blueberry pancakes, cheeses, fruits and yogurt for the kids. Family enjoyed a swim, the cedar sauna rooms. The views of airplanes taking off and landing were also great for the kids. The bad: I can’t give 5 stars because the handles fell off the bathroom tap and the bathroom door with normal use. The Valet ignored our family including infant in Mercedes waiting there for service so we had to figure out our own parking which was a nightmare and 10 minutes away by train!!! Aweful valet!!!!! Who ignores a family with children needing help?! Aweful parking situation at this hotel!!!!! Valet is a dill hole.
